DEVELOP THIS CULTURE IF YOU ARE A STUDENT most especially in mathematics class.

Whenever my mathematics teacher is teaching in class, I give undivided attention to his explanation. I will make sure I stay focus and avoid any form of distraction.

Normally when he's done explaining, we will be instructed to copy the examples in our notes.

At this point many of my classmates will continue to copy the examples directly from the board. I don't do that. I don't copy directly from the board.

My father told me never to develop that culture if I want to be better at mathematics.

What I do is that I always copy directly from my understanding and not from the board. I don't look at the board when copying, I copy directly from my head/understanding.

I only look at the board when I arrived at a place of confusion. I will pause and see how my teacher arrived at the destination.

Immediately when I got the understanding, I continue to copy from my understanding. That has always been my culture ever since my dad taught me.

Please if you are a student, you need to emulate this culture when you are in mathematics class. It has really helped me alot.

It is more better to copy from your understanding than from the board.
