Grand Finale And Anniversary Lecture.

For months, we have prepared for this big day. A lot of resources was put into the project. Today, we thank Allah that our planning paid off. It was a hitch-free event and a memorable one at that.

For a long time, people of Ede and Osun State won't forget in a hurry that Baba Ogoro students marked their 60 years of existence and the state stood still for them.

Though we expected Mudeerul Markaz, Allah said the lecture will be delivered by his representative in person of Fadeelatu Sheikh Suleiman Farouq Onikijipa, (Almiskinu-Billah) from Lagos.

The chief Imam of Edeland and that of Erin Osun was on hand to host all the great Sheik, Imams and Alfas while the Khalifah and Wazeer of Sheik Ogoro hosted all old students and other guests.

It was indeed an event of the decade.

Day 4: Presentation of Merit Award On Distinguished Personalities.

The Markaz Olagunju's field was filled to the brim. Guests from far and near. Festivities was in the air. They all came with friends and family. In all, about 35 personalities were conferred with merit award.

Among them are posthumous awards given to the sons and families of those great men who love Sheik Ogoro during his lifetime and believed in his dreams. Also, scholars from Lagos, Iwo, Ibadan, Ede and all over Nigeria were given awards.

The guest lecturer, Fadeelatu Sheik Barr. (Dr.) Ridwanullah Ibrahim Olagunju, a senior lecturer in the department of Civil and Islamic Law, University of Ilorin eulogies the virtues of the founder and urge us all to emulate him.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion is the honourable representing Ede North local govt in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Nurudeen Kofoworola Babajide, former chairman Ede North Local Govt, Alhaji Qozeem Akinleye among others.

Day 2: FREE MEDICAL SERVICES

Markaz Olagunju Al-Islamy is an institution with impacts on the people through spreading of knowledge. Today, that impact was moved a step further.

In marking the 60 years existence of our Markaz, aged women, pregnant women as well as children numbering about 300 were attended to by a team of medical officers comprising of doctors and nurses.

The team was led by Dr. Lukman, the CMD of Idera Life Line Medical Center, Ede.

The beneficiaries were tested, given free drugs and they all left there happily. It was indeed a scene to behold.

Day 2:

Just like yesterday's outing, today's symposium on the importance of knowledge in religion by the duo of Sheik Dr. Khidr Yahaya Gbokiki and Alhaji Ustaz AbdulGaniy Adejumo was so full of educative expression and words of wisdom.

To say it was a loaded event won't be an overstatement. Among those who graced the academic symposium which centred on the life and time of Fadeelatu Sheik Mustapha Owolabi Al-Ogoro were the grand Khalifah of Ogoro dynasty, the Wazeer, the Ajanasi of Edeland among many others.

The speakers took turn to explain ways in which knowledge is the only panacea to many problems and challenges confronting Islam and Muslims in contemporary society. They urge us all to continue seeking knowledge. They said it is the only way we can emulate our late Sheik.

Day 1: Wednesday, 25th December, 2019.

Alhamdulilahi Robil Aalamin. The very first event of the five days events-packed which was the awareness trek round the city of Ede was a resounding success.

The grand Khalifa and Wazeer led hundreds of old students, staff, management committee, students and other well wishers in the trek.

Giving life to the procession are students eulogising the exemplary life of the late Sheik with powerful lines of poems.

It was really an interesting outing.

Excitement As Sheik Habeebulah Adam Storms Ede

The 29th of December, 2019 will be a special day in the history of Islamic scholarship in
Edeland. On that day, Olagunju Islamic Centre will host one of the top Islamic cleric in South West and Nigeria, Fadeelatu Sheik Mudeer Habeebulah Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory, OON, (Mudeerul Markaz, Agege, Lagos)
