GMTT kicks off the 2026 Session!

On February 8th, the Gifted Minds Think Tank (GMTT) held its first plenary of the session. It was an afternoon defined by a clear sense of purpose as we welcomed new members into our fold and reaffirmed our commitment to excellence.

First, we are excited to announce that our book review for this session is the critically acclaimed "Nigeria: Dancing on the Brink" by John Campbell. By analyzing the complex socio-political landscape Campbell describes, our members are sharpening the tools necessary to propose informed solutions for our nation’s future.

Also during the meeting, the Civic Literacy Project (CLP) was officially hatched. This community outreach initiative is designed to empower SS3 students whom we believe are the next generation of Nigerian voters and leaders. Our focus is clear: educating them on the structure of government, the power of active citizenship, and the necessity of demanding transparency and accountability from those in power. A standing committee has already been established to ensure this program is executed with precision.

At GMTT, we believe that change requires more than just good ideas, it's about presence and consistency. This session, we are doubling down on internal accountability and discipline, ensuring that every member is fully invested in our collective growth. We have set a high bar for membership because the challenges our country faces require nothing less than total dedication.

The energy brought by both returning and newly inducted members to this first meeting sets a powerful tone for the months ahead. GMTT is fully prepared to make this session our most impactful one yet.
