BRIEFINGS FROM THE INTERACTIVE SESSION BETWEEN KADUNA STATE SCHOLARSHIP AND LOANS BOARD, UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT AND STUDENTS BENEFICIARIES

Today, Friday 12th August 2022 hosted the meeting/ interactive session between the Scholarship board management, the University management and the students of Kaduna State University.
The meeting had in attendance the members of the University management ably led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof A M Ashafa, members of the Scholarship board management led by the Executive Secretary, Malam Hassan Rilwan and the students of the University.
Following the Welcome address by the Dean of Student Affairs of the University, the Acting Vice Chancellor opened the session by commending the efforts of the State Government and the Scholarship board for the opportunity given to the institution. He then congratulated the students beneficiaries of the scheme with encouraging statements and further encouraged the students to focus on their exams ongoing and be good ambassadors of the University at every time and place.
The Executive Secretary then explained the Scheme in details for both the merit and need base platforms, outlined the criteria for applications and assessment and called on the beneficiaries to be witnessed to the testified scheme and encourage others to make good use of the opportunity.
Lastly, an open interactive session was open for concerns, comments and commendations from the members of the management as well as the students after which the Executive Secretary responded adequately.
At the end, pictures of joys and rejoices were snapped with the benefitting students.
Other concerns should be tabled directly to the scholarship desk officer of the University whose office is located at the Student Affairs Division in all the 3 campuses.
