Nigeria's busiest international airport descended into chaos on Sunday after heavy rainfall caused severe flooding at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport's temporary terminal in Lagos, forcing an abrupt shutdown and triggering a scramble to relocate airlines mid-operation.

The flooding submerged the terminal's departure hall, boarding gates, airline offices, and other key sections, rendering the facility completely non-operational. To make matters worse, the terminal's powerhouse was also flooded, forcing authorities to cut electricity entirely.

FAAN spokesperson Henry Agbebire attributed the flooding to the ongoing reconstruction of the old MMIA terminal by a Chinese contractor, which temporarily disrupted the airport's drainage system. He insisted that no flights were cancelled and that all airlines had been successfully moved to Terminal 2.

STRENGTHENING UNITY FOR A VICTORIOUS ADC IN 2027.

I am honored to have been part of the delegation representing the leadership of the Katsina State ADC House of Assembly Aspirants and Candidates Forum on a courtesy visit to Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa.
As part of our commitment to strengthening unity and building a stronger party, we held productive discussions, exchanged ideas, and reached a common understanding on the steps needed to advance our party, ADC, and position it for success ahead of the 2027 general elections.
We firmly believe that if we continue to work together with unity, dedication, and a shared vision, ADC has a strong chance of forming the government in the 2027 elections, by the grace of Allah.

MY POSITION REMAINS CLEAR — I STAND WITH ADC.

At this defining moment in our nation’s political journey, I want to publicly reaffirm my unwavering support for African Democratic Congress.
Many people move with political trends, but I believe true commitment is tested when people stay focused on principles, vision, and long-term national interest. After observing the political space and reflecting on the direction our country needs, I remain convinced that ADC deserves serious attention from ordinary Nigerians, especially young people who desire genuine change.
My support is not driven by emotions, noise, personal gain, or temporary political excitement. It is driven by the belief that politics should serve the people, empower communities, encourage accountability, create opportunities, and restore public confidence in leadership.
Nigeria needs citizens who are willing not only to demand change but also to participate in building it. Complaints alone cannot transform a nation; active involvement, responsible leadership, and collective commitment can.
This is why I choose to remain with ADC. Because I believe that a better future can only be built by people who are prepared to think differently, organize differently, and lead differently.
I encourage fellow young people and every citizen to look beyond sentiments and personalities. Study policies. Observe values. Support structures that place the people first.
My decision stands. My commitment remains.
I am not leaving ADC, because I believe the future we desire must be built intentionally, and I choose to be part of that process.
The movement continues. The vision remains. The journey is forward.
