The Maiden Two-day NorthEast University Students Peace Conference, Yobe state University currently ongoing.

STUDENTS INTELLECTUAL CLUB (SIC), in partnership with the YOUTH INITIATIVE AGAINST TERRORISM

Under the able leadership of A.I. Sabo presents the Maiden Edition of NORTHEAST UNIVERSITY STUDENTS PEACE CONFERENCE (NUSPCO) 2022. The Conference will welcome several Northeast students studying across various universities in Nigeria to discuss peace and reintegration of Northeast. The program will feature:

1. Official Launch of SIC Compendium of Essays
2. Lecture Series
3. Paper Presentations
4. Open Mic
5. Prize/Award Giving

STUDENTS INTELLECTUAL CLUB (SIC)
Yobe State University Damaturu
Motto: Improvise, Adopt and Overcome

Hi Intellectuals,

After productive delay of update regarding SIC Essay Competition, we have finally come up with the long list of successful entries for SIC Essay Competition as appeared in the attached picture.

Hence, these 31 selected essays alongside 176 rejected essays, underwent several selection procedures by our respective judges before making it to the final. The criteria for the selection include originality/plagiarism check, grammar, quality, relevance, word count among others. These essays are duly recommended for publication by our judges and SIC will proceed to publish it as its first collection of essays.

Also, it should be noted that the names of the successful entrants appear in alphabetical order thus not in any way manifesting the winner. The four best essays to be given prizes will be announced eventually. In a meantime, please accept the president’s warmest congratulations !

SIC President, Ahmad Isah Sabo alongside some of his executive council paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Goni Bukar Lawan, Honourable Commissioner, Yobe State Ministry of Youths, Sporst and Social Development yesterday, 26th October, 2021.

The visit was in effort to introduce Students Intellectual Club (SIC) and to also seek for possible sponsorship towards the programs set to be achieved by the club.
