Moments like this remind us that learning should go beyond the classroom.
As our students stepped out for their educational trip, they were surrounded by the beauty of nature, the calm of the forest, the freshness of the environment, and the opportunity to see learning come alive outside textbooks.
In that setting, something powerful happened... curiosity is awakened, confidence grows, and learning becomes real.
During their visit to the Cross River National Park, our students discovered some fascinating facts:
It is one of the largest and most biologically diverse rainforests in Africa.
It is home to rare species like the gorilla (one of the most endangered in the world)
The park has existed for centuries, preserving untouched natural ecosystems.
The park is home to over 350 species of birds, making it one of Nigeria’s top birdwatching locations.
(Some species found here are rare and not commonly seen in other parts of the country).
Hosts hundreds of butterfly species.
It plays a vital role in climate regulation and environmental conservation.
But, beyond the experience, something even more important follows.

After exploring the forest, our students didn’t just return with pictures; they returned with insight. Each student developed a structured term paper based on what they observed, analyzed, and truly understood.
