1. About Us Message: The School of Tropical Fish Breeding and Processing Technology is a vocational institution established to provide the basic educational knowledge and practical skills needed to take the development of fisheries and aquaculture technology to the next level in order to increase productivity to meet with the nutritional requirements of the growing population.
2. Our Vision: Is to take the development of fisheries production and aquaculture technology to the next level through research and innovation.
3. Our Mission: Is to become part of the success story of our clients by providing the necessary technological backing, technological transfer and technological package for the design, engineering, construction and operation of our client’s projects.
4. Our Believe: We believe in hardwork, innovation and productivity – so the saying; “if you give someone fish, you feed him for a day but if you teach him how to fish you feed him for life”.
5. Our Objectives: The school objectives are divided into two categories:
1. The Training Objectives:
(i) The training section when fully developed will be able to train over 600 prospective fish farmers annually.
(ii) Employment opportunities will be opened to qualified graduates in the area of fisheries and aquaculture.
(iii) The School will serve as a research centre for aquaculture development in Nigeria.
(iv) The School will affiliate with foreign institutions for exchange of information and research knowledge.
(v) Create awareness on fishery sector potentials.
(vi) Assist qualified students/farmers to access loan facilities from appropriate agencies.
2. The Production Objectives
(i) When fully developed, the production section of the school will be able to produce sufficient fingerlings for fish farmers in Cross River State and beyond.
(ii) Viable brood stocks will be made available for fish farmers and for practical purposes.
(iii) More than 20 tones of table sized fish will be bred and processed annually for local consumption.
(iv) Technical support will be given to small fish farm holdings in Niger Delta region, especially in Cross River State.
(v) Assist fish farmers to plan and set up their fish farming facilities.
(vi) Produce fish feeds from local raw materials for fish farmers at reduced rates.

1. The school is a profit making organization that charges fees for its products and professional services. The cost for the professional services is determined base on the agreed scope of work during the feasibility study and business plan stage while the cost for our products and educational services is determined by the quality of what we offer to satisfy our customers.

PROPOSAL FOR FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE TRAINING AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME.
Referring to your Victory speech captured on CRBC news on the 31st day of March, 2015 which unveiled your intention to embark on Human Capacity Development Programs, we hereby introduce to your own aquaculture training and empowerment program which is in time with the Federal Government Economic Transformation Agenda adopted to address the recent economic challenge of the Nation that has emanated from our development on the oil sector.
Beside the current economic recession due to dwelling oil price, we went to point out here that it is high time for our political leaders with passion and integrity awake to the challenge of food security which is the phenomenon.
The need for Agricultural sector development cannot be over emphasized especially in an environment like ours which depends heavily on importation of food stuff despite our population strength.
We therefore use thus opportunity to encourage you as our intelligible leader to distinguish yourself by adopting strategies that will enhance Agricultural sector development in your constituency. One of such strategies should be based on your partnership with well-established institutions like ours to offer training and empowerment programs to youths in your constituency in order to increase food production and also minimize the problem of unemployment in the area.

One of our key activities is to partner with Government Agencies, organizations and individuals to offer training, set-up farms and provide services in order areas of youth empowerment programs with ultimate aim of boosting food production in the State and the Country at large. For instance, our partnership with CUSO International a Canadian organization established in Cross River State to train youths in the National resource sector has yielded tremendous result.
