Wishing Our Students, Parents, and Staff a *HAPPY 65TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION!*
From *Gladden's International Schools*

On this special occasion, we celebrate the journey of our dear nation, Nigeria.

Nigeria, the most populous Black nation in the world, gained independence from British colonial rule on *October 1, 1960* . With *over 250 ethnic groups* and rich cultural diversity, Nigeria stands as a symbol of unity in diversity. The nation began its democratic journey with Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa as the first Prime Minister and Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe as the first Governor-General, later becoming the first President.

Through challenges and triumphs, Nigeria has continued to grow, shaping its identity as a land blessed with natural resources, vibrant cultures, and resilient people.

As we mark *65 years of independence,* we honor the sacrifices of our heroes past and look forward with hope, commitment, and determination to build a stronger, greater Nigeria for generations to come.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!
🇳🇬✨

Pastor Prof. Akan Bassey.
