Interestingly, by the end of that school year (2016/17) in July, the school had 23children. The first children get together was marked in December 2016 with the end of year party celebrated in July, 2017. In January, 2017, the school received her first set of teaching practice students (three in number) from the Faculty of Education, University of Calabar for 12 weeks. And in August, 2017 two National Youth Service Corp members were posted to the school. In addition, the school has Dr. Genevieve Aglazor, a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education and the Teaching Practice Coordinator as a volunteer mentor. Dr. Aglazor is a great asset to the school in view of her experience in working with kindergarten children in the USA. In our desire to have the best of teachers, we invest in staff capacity development. To this effect, the Head teacher and all the teaching staff attended a training workshop in school administration organised by the Chartered Institute of Commerce and Training. Other teachers have also been trained in the Montessori and Jolly Phonics methods of teaching. The school Parents-Teachers Association held her inaugural meeting on the ------of July 2017. The meeting took far reaching decisions that will assist in the development of the school. To broaden the learning scope of the children, the school embarked on field excursion to some places of interest within the Calabar metropolis. Mrs Awai E. Efio-Oyo
