TEXT: Acts 14:1-28

𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴.

𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵:
Acts 14:22
"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God"

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Persistence, patience and perseverance during persecution in terms of the Christian faith is not for applause or earthly gain nor for gravitation of record neither is it for building of CV. The three Hebrew boys, never asked king Nebuchadnezzar to put them in the fire so that he'll what they will do, that they will come out of the fire unhurt, no at all, they were not even sure if they'll be delivered from the evil plot but God did it all.

Persecution of God's people, is an agelong prospect "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." (2 Timothy 3:12). The persecution in context, isn't that coming from secular business competitors, that's normal, but this one is that which is prompted by sinners because their hatred for godliness and the gospel. Paul the Apostle wasn't persecuted for his tent making occupation but for the gospel.

What are you boasting that you are being persecuted for? Is it for godliness or for business?

`1. Powerful Preaching despite Perpetual Persecution`

Acts 14:1-7

a. Constancy is a test of true passion for a particular task. Before now (Acts 13), these apostles (Paul and Barnabas) were opposed by the antagonistic Jewish leaders, they were driven out of their coast, but with passion they continued, their continuity wasn't out of personal promotion but their target was to make the gospel known to those who are poor of the knowledge of Christ._*"And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed."*_ Paul wasn't advertising his tent making occupation here but only showing the path to eternal life, they that understood gave heed and adhered.
Seeing he wasn't preaching for personal gain, persecution shouldn't follow since he wasn't asking for offering even when he cured the incurable. Persecutors are not after the promotion of God in an individual but always wanting to show you that they are against you.
However, praise to God they understood resilience in face of rigour. The joy of the Lord was their strength (Neh. 8:10).

b. Courageously, the preaching of the gospel to Paul wasn't a display of talent or show of oratory endowment but the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18), that is why _*"Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands."*_ (Acts 14:3).
Preaching the gospel shouldn't be for recommendation or for being noticed, after all, preaching the gospel is foolishness to the worldly wise.
Therefore, it can never be wise to relegate the power of God to manifest wonders when it comes to preaching the gospel because it is this power that makes the sense of the foolish gospel.

c. Carnality, in view of the gospel brought about Segregation _*"But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.*_ (Acts 14:4). The carnal mind will see the gospel as foolishness and hold to Jews but _"...many as were ordained to eternal life believed"_ and joined the apostles.
Have a mind for the gospel no matter what would come, persecution is a perpetual thing, it comes in different form, identify it and be resilient.

Question 1: How does the gospel sounds to you, especially when it doesn't rhyme with natural instinct?

`2. Perceptional Power and the People's Preoccupation`

Acts 14:8-18

a. Dutifully, in the face of intense circumstance, the compassionate gospel did not die in the apostles, they still had the mind for the afflicted while not concentrating on the assault made by opposers, that's passion for soul and understanding of nomination.
In the text we see that Paul noticed a crippled man, who had faith to be healed, this to show us that while the trouble was hard, it meant nothing to him but retained his boldness to do what he was called to do.
As a believer, have you stopped serving God because of naysayers? One thing you should know about them is that they are naughty people and would never want anything good to reach you. Don't stop serving the Lord because of those who say you shouldn't. Continue the more excruciating the more exploit.

b. _*"...Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked." (Acts 14:10)*_ Healing power was an accompaniment of the apostles mission, showing in spite of cruel treatment and blasphemy, that God will still use his chosen. God doesn't judge as the persecutors do, he's righteous the persecutors are not. Paul spake with power and restored health to the sick.
For every successful gospel mission prayer for the power of the Holy Ghost is very important, nothing less than this.

c. In appreciation to the healing of the cripple, the Gentiles in that coast choose to offer sacrifice to the apostles taking them to be gods, the Apostles were quick enough to restrain them, since they'd not condone any form or idolatry.
Believers today are to be swift enough to identify and stop evil acts even when it's done to gratify the believer. Any thing that is against God is against God no matter how it is done. For the gentiles they are always preoccupied with idolatry, the saints of God shouldn't yield to what is right for those who don't love God, most of their comments are, "we don't need the Bible in this matter ", "we are not in Jesus" and likes. Beware.

`3. Purposeful Persecution of Patriarchal Preachers`

Acts 14:19-28

a. Paul was stoned almost to death, some theologians say it was God's Vengeance for what he did to Stephen no at all, when God forgives, he forgets. The persecution was from the carnal minded would continue to fight God in all ages, Paul was such ma but repented and would not continue to fight his maker, since _*"Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker..."*_
Apply heart to knowledge, it will never work well for the opposers of righteousness who fail to repent before the day of judgment.

b. These are true patriarch of faith, of whom we should follow in all things, they never went against the scriptures, so we should. Some say "the writings of Paul" should be obeyed selectively, no my dear! But completely, he was moved by the Holy Ghost to write what ever he wrote and any instruction he gave by personal experiences were godly and never to derail anyone from the truth.

c. Beware and be aware of falsehood, true saints and preachers will never drift anyone into such.
For Paul persecution did not stop his ministry, he did exactly what Christ said _*"But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another"*_ Matthew 10:23. Don't waste your life for those who don't want to hear you, you have done your part, they've heard you but they don't want transformation, shut up don't fight back, go your way, continue preaching don't bear unnecessary pains, bear the ones that comes don't be the one who causes the pain for yourself.

Those that have adhered to you, mature those ones and leave naysayers alone who are _*"...reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."*_ (2 Peter 3:7)

Question 3: Are you aware of ungodly naysayers in your ministry?

Opposition is a constant occurrence, be always ready to face it because _*"...we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."*_ ,(Acts 14:22).
It's a call to understand your calling.

Who is a Pacesetter? This is someone who leads in his prospective field. A Pacesetter offers his best to get at the peak.
Relating to those who say they are Christians, you'll see that most profess so but are not. Becoming a Pacesetter is to make our lives shine out the light of Christ. If there's no light, there won't be reflection, therefore the amount of the Light of the gospel you have in you is what will reflect on those who look up to you.
Righteousness is what we long for as Pacesetters chosen by Christ.

To be a Pacesetter, salvation from sin is necessary. We have heard of so many pacemakers in various fields, as we go through their lives and you see their end you'll find out the end of a fool, because they were ungodly. These are the kinds of Pacesetters we're about 👇🆗

Reconciled Pacesetters

Every wise person will want to become a Pacesetter in his or her field, Jesus wants to make you a excellent person, he loves you, looks at you and ready to make you who you ought to be.

Don't be confined, come out of the dungeon of evil, call on Christ to make your life a life of integrity.

Jesus is resolute about his own this new year, he wants to take his children higher than expected, and therefore gives a charge, that you should follow him and become a Pacesetter in any of your endeavour.

Christian pacemakers are to 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 the word of God, 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 the erring, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 the truth of the gospel, 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 the weary, 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 the right way of life, 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 in knowledge of the scripture, 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 the way of truth till the end, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 the fainting and 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 others pacemakers.

Most natural disasters are predicted by scientists. The major reason for the predictions is that inhabitants can be forewarned of the impending catastrophe that follows such disaster. Jesus looking at the intelligence of men, to as far as predicting weather the next weather condition, asked;
..how is it that ye do not discern this time? Though he himself (Christ) can't give the exact day of this great event (The Rapture) - Matthew 24:36. He only gave the signs that will show that that day is near. The event being unpredictable doesn't mean it's a probability that rapture might likely happen or not as wrongly noted by some uncircumspect theologians but the unpredictability is on the ground of the hour, day and moment of it. It's an event that will surely take place because _"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."_

i. Today we have many scientific systems that predict rainfall ☔ sunshine ☀ and even natural disasters, it's foolhardy to overlook by saying they are mere human predictions. We see an example in hurricane Katrina (2005), many got the repercussion of negligence. Today we have the Google Weather, that can give you the weather condition on your mobile device 📱 at the comfort of your home 🏡. Check through most of these predictions are true, since weather can be studied. In the days of Jesus (on earth), there was no scientific advancement as today but mere climatic conditions could be predicted, over the years more rigorous ones have been done by astronomers.
Jesus the divine giver of humane intelligence commented on this, so as Christians we shouldn't take scientific prediction for granted to save our lives and property.
𝗶𝗶. No matter how true a forecast may be, God can alter it, because he owns the universe 🌌 and scientific studies can never outrun his divinity. Therefore we should hope on him and trust in him.
Normally, even a person who is not really schooled can predict the hours of a day which is 24hrs but by the power of God in the days of Joshua this fact was altered.
iii. The fact here is that natural and physical events can predicted but there are some that can never be predicted, these are called *accidents* No scientific study can predict if someone will loss his building by fire 🔥 outbreak. Talkless of predicting the coming of the Lord, there are many things in this world that no man can have a fore knowledge of, that's why the lyrics of the song "I know Who holds tomorrow" by _Ira F. Stanphill_ says
`I don't know about tomorrow, I just live from day to day. I don't borrow from its sunshine, For its skies may turn to grey. I don't worry o'er the future, For I know what Jesus said, And today I'll walk beside Him, For He knows what is ahead.` The certainty of unpredictable happenings that might not even happen is the reason why properties and life is being insured (Insurance).

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: You have to guard against disasters.

`𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻`

`Luke 12:54a`

𝗶. Jesus immediately reproved those he appreciated of scientific intelligence of condemnable hypocrisy, this is because man by wisdom cannot know God. Jesus is not after those who have gone far in scientific experience but lack the knowledge of the kingdom of God. You see, scientific ideas are never stable, scientific theories and even laws are being changed from generation to generation when research are made with new discoveries. Those who depend on worldly wisdom and never think about heaven does that to the peril of his/her soul.
𝗶𝗶. Jesus is strongly against hypocrisy, that's why he spent time to spell capital woes on those who will choose such path (Matthew 23:13-15). Christ calls for complete compliance to God's commandment and not lingering with pretence. Sinners who linger with church ⛪ going will never make it to heaven, because salvation is the only way to heaven. The day of judgment is imminent and unpredictable, therefore doing some religious activities with a definite experience of salvation will never take any one to heaven. 1 Timothy 4:2
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
𝗶𝗶𝗶. Hypocrisy is not limited to sinners alone, they're many who were once saved but now choose the way of unrighteousness, hear what Jesus said about such; Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Jesus has nothing to do with the hypocrites no matter who he is.

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: Don't toy with hypocrisy.

`𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹'𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆`

`Luke 12:56b`

𝗶. Why was Jesus taking concerned about `this time` it's because though he was teaching about the kingdom of God, telling them "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" out of corruption of the heart no one took cognisance of what this should mean, even among his disciples though they have repented still were confused about `this time` Matthew 24:3 ~ `And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?`
𝗶𝗶. This time can never be predicted by any one, though some of tried to do so at their peril. Luke 17:21
`Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.` Christ says that he doesn't know that day Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Who is that man sorry to say! Foolish that can predict the day of the LORD
𝗶𝗶𝗶. Wisdom implies that we should prepare for the coming of the Lord because you can't tell when, where and how it will take you. The Rapture is better experienced than imagined, whosoever misses it would have his/her self to blame, because the warning is succinctly clear and sacrosanct.

🔍📖🔦🔎 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
Titus 2:11-15
11. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲: `"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,`~ Titus 2:11

* 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Grace is an unmerited favour that reaches a man through acceptance of Christ. According to offline advanced english dictionary, it is living by divine influence.
A man of God once defined GRACE as, "God's Riches At Christ Expense". Grace is from God alone, and it is as available as the air for those who see the need.
Many have mistaken grace to be frivolity, the say so far as grace covers you, you can do anything, not so, _*the soul that sinneth, it shall die*_ . Grace doesn't permit sins, but takes it away. Grace is sufficient.
The question is are you living by grace or do you just have your own way of life that is graceless and Insipid? Come let's reason together:

1. `𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲`

`v.11,12`

𝗶. Salvation is the work of grace in the life of a graceless human `"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"` Ephesians 2:8. Grace of God grants salvation in the life of the sinner. A sinner cannot truly say "I have God's grace" because the grace of God is not to let you do what you feel like doing but gives you a guided principle to walk the way God will be pleased by.
Tenaciously, the devil fights against God's grace in man, it's noteworthy that no matter the availability of God's grace, there are forces against it, wisdom implies that _*"... the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."*_ The grace available for those who will heed the instruction _*"...Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.*_
𝗶𝗶.The grace that saves won't be complete if he doesn't teach. The grace of God in your heart teaches you the right pattern of life, it doesn't leave you in the dark of what living a gracious life is. It teaches you to avoid sin. The life of any Christian is the product of the grace he has by how he permits that grace to impart words of knowledge from God to his life, where there's grace there is no sin. The command is "come out from among them and be ye separate" Grace teaches this, an evil 😈 heart is never gracious, hence the need of the teaching grace.
𝗶𝗶𝗶. Denial of all forms of ungodly practices is only the product of grace in a saved heart. God demands righteousness from man, any man void of the righteousness of God is only living in gracelessness and can never attain anything good from such a graceless life of unrighteousness. Sobriety is what a gracious person should picture 🖼 as the present world features evil. The Grace of God is awe inspiring and you have to get it right to avoid getting the meaning twisted 🥨 to what is not termed grace, many are in this tract already beware.

2. `𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿'𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀s`

`v.13,14`

𝗶. Why do we need grace? Great question. If any one will see God grace makes the way, Following the ways of Jesus is not for fun or religious sake. The coming of Jesus will be glorious, to partake in such glory grace is the superseding factor. `For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves...` Salvation means having eternal life in you this is only what can be by none else but Jesus who laid down his life (not killed) for the sake of every human. It depends on how you position yourself because the grace is attainable to all who uphold the right mindset towards it.
𝗶𝗶. Jesus voluntarily gave himself for us, his giving of himself for us was an act of charity that has lasted for every generation, generation present and generations unborn, this is in contrast with what Paul wrote to the Corinthian believers `...though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing...` Jesus the master of grace displayed grace in a manner no OT prophet had ever done. Grace is seen in the love of Christ displayed. Be gracious.
𝗶𝗶𝗶. The grace of God redeems and purify the sinner. It is a common sense that no sinner will make it to heaven, but grace affordable for the needy is able to change the destination of a sinner. I want to let you know, that Christ is after how you can attain his grace, no need of payment, because it is made free. Old pattern of life is gone, now is peculiarity, zeal for all that pertains glorification of God.

3. `𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀`

`v 15`

i. Grace doesn't weaken a man but fortifies against wiles that will throw him off balance. When you receive God's grace you become a strong man, a beckon of hope, you are on fire 🔥 for the LORD, your garment of righteousness is never soiled by iniquity. You a man that build his house 🏡 on a firm foundation Matthew 7:24-25 `Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.`
ii. What do you mean? You are given to every atrocity and you claim grace, what do you mean by grace when you are in adultery with a man's wife? Who are you deceiving? Grace is grace and not a carnal claim.
iii. You know, many people when they have succeeded to cheat on others they call it grace, even when they have hijacked someone's wife, good friend are you sure you are normal, categorising sin for grace. Romans 6:1-2 `What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?`

In this life be strict, don't marry another woman's husband no matter how rich you think the man is, in the name of grace, you can't find God's grace in hijacking someone's husband, be careful.

What do you mean? You cheat to pass an exam🤦‍♂️, do you say it's grace? My dear friend, it's not grace but a malpractice. Nevermind evil has been turned to good in the worldly system, note, God's standard for judging evil stands without alteration.

Grace is;

🅡Right
🅐Abiding
🅒Compassionate and
🅔Exemplary

Oh ❗ my friend grace doesn't indicate the features above when you hide the garri that your roommate brought to the hostel, remember 👉 you called it grace.

We obtain the grace of God by confession of our sins to Christ our Saviour and sins bearer. Do it now and receive grace.

🔎 📖🔦 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭:

Matthew 16:13-17
13. When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14. And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: `"...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?...But whom say ye that I am?" Vs. 13, 15`

* 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
To any thing in this life, individuals at various levels look at it in different perspectives according to their state of heart/mind ♥. Example; some see marriage as a lifetime partnership that can never be broken except death but others with corrupt minds see it as a trivial relationship which can be broken if need arises. Jesus wanting to know the hearts ♥ of his disciples if there's contrast with that of the world first asked _"...Whom do men say that I am...?"_ after receiving the response on the perspective the world looked at his personality, he then asked _"...But whom say ye that I am?..."_
Comparatively, the responses show that the world is left in confusion of who Christ is and only believers has the true revelation of who Christ is and the revelation comes from God the Father.
The question _Who is Jesus?_ is a question every existing human must answer correctly both in word and action which they say it speaks louder than words. We are going to see clearly how this question was answered by different people in their own perspective and how you can answer it correctly.

1. `𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆-𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱`

`v. 13, 14`

i. Man in his natural state is a sinner, therefore talking about nature in this case doesn't mean since sin is the nature of man that sin is normal. Christ came to save sinners and make sons of men become sons of God, he being the Son of God, willing to know how those he came to save regard him asked the question `"...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?"` They couldn't give the right answer, since no sinner no matter how versed with the scripture can't have the true revelation of who Christ is.
ii. They were only left in confusion as in who should Christ be `"...Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets."` Every sinner is living in confusion, because he doesn't know any good thing to do as in to get him to heaven on the last day. In fact this is the question 🙋 Christ was asking, if they could answer that he is the one to make sinners saint so that they can make it to heaven, they would have been correct, because this is they only reasonable and right way a sinner can answer the question right ☑️.
iii. If any one who claims to be a saint has never answered the question _Who is Jesus_ in the above mentioned perspective his/her salvation is questionable. Jesus is more than John the Baptist, he was only Christ's forerunner, neither was he Elijah or any prophet, Christ is higher than a prophet that the world suggests that he is. Even till today the world is still left in the dark of the deity of Christ, philosophers say he is a man who walked 🚶 in the streets of Galilee in the first century.
Truly, sinners of all ages will never answer the question _"Who is Jesus"_

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: Make sure you give the right answer to Christ's question.

2. `𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿,𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆`

`𝘃. 15, 16`

i. First Jesus asked for a general consideration of his personality, when he saw the confusion left in the minds of recalcitrant folks he demanded a personal answer from his disciples. To answer this question is negotiable, you don't relate this answer to philosophy and even theology but you should be determined and resolute about the answer.
ii. Peter rightly answered `"...Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God"` This is because of his state of heart `"...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."` Peter said this because he was converted.
iii. The question is to be answered, every question left unanswered becomes a dilemma, and Christ doesn't have the intention of leaving any one in such state of dilemma, he therefore put the question to those who have been with him, learn from him and have also received the power to do what he can do.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: Salvation Offers the right answer, be saved.

3. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

`𝘃. 16`

i. The question unequivocally answered received a commendable remark from Christ, he was spontaneous about the answer for his heart's sake.
`"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."` He successfully settled the doubts of obstinate sinners which because of evil heart couldn't discern the person of Christ.
ii. It's only God's revelation to you that can make you know that Christ is his Son
John 17:11 `And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.`
iii. God's revelation is to those who follow Christ not to those lost in sin, so that unity and peace exist amongst believers ```John 17:9
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.```

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: Seek God's revelation on who Christ should be

What's your decision towards following Jesus, is it nothing to you that the sinner doesn't know who Jesus is, no matter the amount of preaching about Jesus.

Sinners must first realize that Christ is the Saviour by knowing that `"...the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins..."` Mark 2:10. Don't live in unrighteousness and claim Christianity, that's not how it works, it works by conversion and regeneration from sinfulness.
Today the call cuts across every nation, that the question must be given an answer. It left for you to give your response on who you think Christ should be.
