A Divine Principle to Increase and Progress.
I found this principle in scriptures and I tested it by my experiences and I found it to be true. The principle is this:
"Until we express gratitude for what we have and where we are with joy and faith we will not experience the increase or progress we desire."
This is truth.
Please look at this scripture with me.
Matthew 15:33-34, 36 NLT
The disciples replied, “Where would we get enough food here in the wilderness for such a huge crowd?”
Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?” They replied, “Seven loaves, and a few small fish.”
So Jesus told all the people to sit down on the ground.
Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd.
Let me explain.
The disciples were in a state of chaos, they didn't plan for that assignment. But it did happened that they have to feed that large number of people and at that level they know they can't feed that amount of people. They don't have that capacity. They only just had few loaves of bread and some fish.
Then, they began to complain to Jesus, Lord how are we going to feed this large number of people? Where are we going to get food in this wilderness for this crowd? In other words, they were saying, Lord, this is crazy, this is practically impossible.
Jesus then smiled, looked at them and asked them what do you have? They said "just seven loaves and few small fish". They had to emphasize on how insufficient they were... "Just seven loaves A few small fish"
Then with confidence and certainty he said Alright then, let these people sit in groups. Jesus began to make advancement with that little. He began to organize the crowd as if all things were ready.
The disciples would have been watching. Hmm, Lord Jesus, we don't have up to a thousand loaves of bread to feed this people and you're telling them to sit down quietly to be fed. Okay..., let's watch, we are following you, we are your disciples.
Then Jesus with joy in his heart lifted up what he had and expressed gratitude to God and said "Father Thank You".
Maybe while he said thank you, he meant,
Father I know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me and to give me an expected end.
Thank you for I know you are for me and you are working things out for my good behind the scens.
I know you are working even right now to see that your will comes to pass.
Maybe while he said "Father Thank You", he was singing this song in his heart: "I have a Father that will never ever fail me".
So his 'Thank you" was not in depression. His thank you was with Joy, with Gladness, with Certainty, with Faith, I know my Father. Hallelujah
Then with that same joy and enthusiasm he began sharing the loaves of bread and the few fishes. He began the process without reservation or uncertainty, he began the process with gratitude.
Then the Bible tells us the result that followed
Matthew 15:37 NLT
"They all ate as much as they wanted. Afterward, the disciples picked up seven large baskets of leftover food."
Hallelujah.
Friends, the key to come out from where we are to where we are supposed to be is gratitude; expressed with joy and faith.
The moment joy was intact, gratitude was overflowing and our faith was fixed on Jesus, we don't know how the increase begins to come.
Forget about the insufficiency, the inadequacy, the lack and become grateful, joyful and full of faith in God then advance with what you have, advance into that project, that marriage, that ministry, that event. Advance with Joy, Faith and Gratitude and watch what happens.
We know this is not where we ought to be by now, we know this is not the picture we had in mind, but unfortunately life will not always go as we planned.
I wished life would move like a sweet rollercoaster ride, but unfortunately, when you think you are going North, all of a sudden you are thrown to the East by circumstances you can't understand and can't control.
At that point, don't complain, don't murmur, don't be bitter, don't be sad or depressed, pick yourself up, give thanks, keep hope, remain joyful and continue.
The Key to Increase and Progress in Life is
Gratitude expressed with Joy.
Never loose your Joy
Never loose Hope
Never loose your Gratitude
Stop the Worry Habit.
Stop that Depression
Stop the Excuses
Stop the Complaining
Forget about the Storm
Look up.
Be Blessed.
