Nigeria is currently experiencing its most devastating flood season in a decade, affecting 34 out of 36 states. Over 600 people have died, and 1.3 million have been displaced. The floods have caused significant damage to infrastructure and farmland, exacerbating the country’s cost of living crisis. Poor urban planning, heavy rains, and the release of excess water from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam have intensified the situation .

Climate change has been a significant factor in increasing the frequency and intensity of such floods. Researchers indicate that these events are now 80 times more likely due to climate change impacts, particularly from oil exploration, deforestation, industrial processes and other fossil fuel activities.

To meet our Climate Goals, all industries must get involved, brands and their manufacturers need to work together and ensure that production processes are made less harmful.

Government support and legislation is also required if we are to transition.

The entire supply change must work in tandem to reduce energy use, reduce Pollution and promote a circular economy.

We need to move away from being Polluters of the environment to Conservers for a sustainable Future.

Yours in Sustainability,
Racheal Bassey.

Day 2 of Our Rabeal Eco-Revive Project: Market Cleaning Drive and Sensitization in Calabar 🌍

Today marked the culmination of our Eco project with a highly impactful activity. We organized a Cleaning Drive and sensitization campaign at one of the busiest markets in Calabar- Marian Market.

Our team, worked tirelessly to clean up the market, demonstrating the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

We engaged with market vendors, shoppers, and passersby, educating them on proper waste management practices and the significance of environmental protection.

The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as we saw the market transform before our eyes. The positive response from the community reaffirmed our commitment to creating a sustainable and eco-friendly future.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative.

Together, we are making a difference, one step at a time.
