I bring you greetings from the NUBS national secretariat and the ABON block of NURSS (National Union of Rivers State student) parliament.

This is to inform all Bonny students that the ABON block is having a football match against another ethnic house and it is greatly important that the Bonny house provides 12 football players to add up to other players from Andoni and Opobo/Nkoro houses. This football match will hold next week and we are mandated to submit names before the week runs out.

I bring you warm greeting in the spirit of Aluta my dear congress men and women , I must first and foremost seize this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for your support ,resilience and passion towards keeping Nubs flag flying , as an executive council we appreciate you and would never take your efforts for granted .

National union of Bonny students which serves as the Apex student platform in Bonny Local government is poised towards creating , enlightening and building a formidable student community which will herald the coming of useful intellectuals in Bonny kingdom .

Amongst our numerous programs targeted at achieving is the Annual secondary school sensitization which we have scheduled to hold on the 11TH OF JUNE 2021 , it is tagged “WHY EDUCATION “ in honor of the birthday of our Grand Patron HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD ASIMINI WILLIAM DAPPA PEPPLE III, EDWARD I, PEREKULE XI, CON. JP , AMAYANABO AND NATURAL RULER OF ANCIENT GRAND BONNY KINGDOM .In this program we will be preaching the gospel of education to the various secondary schools on the island through the medium of lectures, counseling and giveaway of some vital educational materials . Also as an auxiliary activity we would be having a session with the female students on ABSTINENCE FROM PRE-MARITAL S*X to help curb the rate of teenage pregnancy on the island .

I wish to use this medium to inform and invite the entire congress to this program as its aim is to portray what we all represent as students. We appreciate you all now and always.

As regards to the LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ELECTION, which is to be held on Saturday being the 17th of April, provisions have been made for boat to convey students from PHC down to bonny so as to enable them vote during the election...

NATIONAL UNION OF BONNY STUDENTS MEETS WITH THE BONNY YOUTH FEDERATION TO FOSTER A WORKING RELATIONSHIP .

As a union whom is poised towards catering for the welfare of its members , we deemed it pertinent at this point to pay the leadership of Bonny Youth Federation a courtesy/ familiarization visit . This visit was geared towards creating a relationship with the apex youth Body , sharing our visions with them and pledging our support as a student wing to the success of the BYF .

Discussed in this meeting were Crucial issues such as

-Student IT placement
-Student holiday jobs
-youth/students sensitization programs on drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and cultism .
-interface with relevant bodies to supply bursary and scholarship to Bonny students .

The Bonny youth federation leader on his part assured us as a union that every issue raised will be addressed as all are in the blueprint of his administration.

We also use this platform to encourage every Bonny student and the youths in its entirety to trust and key into the vision and blueprint of this year as we can only surmount our challenges working together .
