Nakudu Institute of Agriculture was incorporated in 2019 modeled under new Farm - Teaching – Research philosophy. The Institute intends to leverage on the agrarian nature of the Jigawa State by supporting Federal and State Governments vision of economic growth through integrated and sustainable agricultural research, growth and development with the aim of improving the economy of especially the rural populace. The centre is blessed with resourceful personnel with vast knowledge in advanced general agricultural practices, cutting edge technologies and assess to experienced professional minds.
Mission
To establish a culture of best practices for research and training in climate smart agriculture in the dry land that offers practical solution for up scaling the national drive for sustainable food security and export. Improving soil fertility on a sustainable basis and adopting appropriate high-yielding crop varieties and efficient livestock production practices; In healthy nutrition practices, value adding processing of major food commodities, family planning, first aid techniques, and handling of textiles; In post-harvest handling, storage, processing and marketing; To appreciate civic responsibilities, good governance and democracy.

To be the foremost agricultural institution in sub-Saharan Africa and be reckoned with global quality development base research and training of functional Agripreneurship capable of creating wealth and employment using environment friendly systems and ensuring sustainable livelihood for the farming families.
