INNĀ LILLĀHI WA INNĀ ILAIHI RĀJI‘ŪN

It is with profound grief and a deep sense of loss that the Union announces the passing of our esteemed colleague, mentor, and friend, Dr. Sale Garba, who returned to the mercy of Almighty Allah today after a protracted illness.

The Polytechnic has lost a great scholar, an intellectual of rare depth, and a man who devoted his entire life to the service of knowledge and humanity. Dr. Sale Garba’s commitment to academic excellence, selfless service, and moral uprightness left an indelible mark on the institution and on all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

He has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

We humbly pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings, accepts his noble deeds, and grants him eternal rest in Jannatul Al-Ma’awā. May Allah also grant his family, colleagues, students, and loved ones the patience, strength, and comfort to bear this immense and irreplaceable loss.

Sincerely,

UPDATE ON BAUCHI STATE CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME

Warm greetings, dear comrades.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC), State Office, hereby reiterates that the resolution taken at ATBCOE Kangere and reaffirmed at ATAPOLY Bauchi, rejecting the implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme, remains valid and binding on all members.

Furthermore, the resolution of BASCOA Bauchi to withdraw earlier consents given by some members in ADCONS Bauchi, BMG College of Health Technology Ningi, and BASCOA has been duly complied with. A total of 181 withdrawal letters (ADCONS 71, BASCOA 110) have been submitted to the appropriate authorities.

Members are therefore directed to disregard any pressure or attempt to circulate, complete, or return any pension-related forms contrary to this collective decision. Any chapter that violates this resolution will be sanctioned, as only Congress has the authority to reverse it.

JAC appreciates the continued solidarity and commitment of all members as we steadfastly pursue our collective welfare and interests.

In solidarity,
Aminu Azare
Publicity Secretary, Atapoly Chapter.
