FELIX; A Young SEMINARIAN.
SEMINARY EXAMINATION; Total Evaluation. (1)
FELIX is a young Seminarian in his 2nd semester Philosophy 1 in a Catholic Major Seminary located in my Province.
By May that year, SEMI FELIX has rounded up with his classroom academic works and they were waiting for the Examination time table, knowing fully that the Exam will determine his future.
When the exam timetable was released, everyone reacted the same way, silence followed by quiet tension. Books came out, schedules were made, and the atmosphere in the seminary slowly changed. Conversations became shorter. Smiles became fewer. Everyone looked focused.
From the outside, it looked like a normal academic season, but inside, something deeper was happening.
FELIX tried to study like everyone else. He opened his books, highlighted lines, repeated notes. But after a while, he noticed something unsettling. It wasnโt just the fear of failing academically it was something more personal. Every page began to feel like a question, not just about what he knew, but about who he was becoming.
There were nights he sat at his desk, staring at the same paragraph, realizing his mind was tired but his thoughts were louder than ever. โWhat if I fail?โ slowly turned into โAm I even meant to be here?โ And that question did not come from the exam it came from somewhere deeper within him.
One evening, after hours of trying to read without understanding, FELIX closed his books and went to the chapel. Not because he had time, but because he had reached his limit.
To be continued.....

โNo, When a religious priest becomes a bishop, he does not cease to be a member of his religious congregation or institute. He remains a member of that congregation and retains his religious identity and vows.
For example:
* An Oblate priest who becomes a bishop remains an Oblate.
* A Jesuit who becomes a bishop remains a Jesuit.
* A Franciscan who becomes a bishop remains a Franciscan.
However, his relationship with the congregation changes in practice. As a bishop, he is directly responsible to the Pope in the governance of his diocese and is no longer under the authority of his religious superior in matters concerning his episcopal ministry. He is also generally no longer involved in the ordinary administration of his congregation.
This is why bishops who belong to religious institutes often continue to use the initials of their congregation after their names, such as:
* Dieudonnรฉ Nzapalainga, C.S.Sp.
A good example is Eugene de Mazenod. He became a bishop but remained an Oblate until his death.
So, ordination as a bishop does not cancel membership in a religious congregation; it adds the fullness of the sacrament of Holy Orders and a new responsibility in the Church.

The rain fell softly that evening as Steven walked slowly through the silent corridor of seminary. His footsteps were weak, and his body still carried the burden of the sickness that had troubled him for months. The once energetic seminarian who laughed with his brothers, served at the altar, and sang joyfully in the chapel now struggled even to stand for long prayers.
After Evening Prayer, the rector sent a message asking Steven to come to his office.
With a heavy heart, Steven entered the room. The rector looked at him with compassion, yet sadness could be seen in his eyes. A few formators were seated quietly beside him. For a moment, nobody spoke. Only the ticking clock could be heard.
โSteven,โ the rector finally began gently, โyou are a good seminarian. Your dedication, humility, and love for God have inspired many people here. But your health condition has become very serious. After careful consideration, we believe it is best for you to leave the seminary for now and focus on your recovery.โ
Those words pierced Stevenโs heart like a sharp sword.
He remained silent, trying to hold back tears. Everything he had sacrificed came rushing into his mind โ leaving his family, sleepless nights of study, early morning prayers, apostolic works, and the dream of one day becoming a priest.
โBut Fatherโฆ serving God here is all I ever wanted,โ Steven whispered with a trembling voice.
The rector stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder.
โGodโs plan for your life is bigger than this moment. Leaving the seminary does not mean God has abandoned you.โ
Steven nodded slowly, though his heart was broken.
That night, he returned to his room in silence. His fellow seminarians noticed his swollen eyes and immediately understood something was wrong. One after another, they gathered around him. Some tried to encourage him, while others quietly cried with him.
The next morning felt unbearable.
