🔥 FROM THE CHERUBIM TO CHRIST

What did the Ark of the Covenant ultimately point toward?

The Most Holy Place teaches us about the holiness and presence of God—but the story does not end with the Ark.

When Jesus Christ died:

“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom...”
— Matthew 27:51 KJV

The barrier was torn.

Access was opened.

Christ became our way into the presence of God. ✝️

This study explores the powerful connection between:

🕊️ WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH ABOUT MEDITATION?
Biblical meditation is not simply emptying the mind.
It is filling the mind and heart with God—His Word, His character, His presence, and His works.
The Bible gives us a powerful progression:
WORD → MEDITATION → FAITH → OBEDIENCE → EXPERIENCE OF GOD
The Ark of the Covenant also gives us a profound picture of God's presence.
The cherubim remind us that God's presence is holy and should produce:
AWE.
REVERENCE.
HOLINESS.
WORSHIP.
OBEDIENCE.
But there is something even more glorious.
What was once restricted in Eden and in the Tabernacle has been opened to us through Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:19 says:
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus...”
So biblical meditation should not merely change what we think.
It should change how we live.
🙏 Meditate on His Word.
🙏 Remember His presence.
🙏 Walk in holiness.
🙏 Draw near through Christ.
**MEDITATE ON GOD.
DRAW NEAR TO GOD.
LIVE FOR GOD.**

WHY WERE THE CHERUBIM'S WINGS SPREAD OVER THE MERCY SEAT?
Have you ever wondered why God commanded the cherubim to spread their wings over the Mercy Seat?
Exodus 25:20 says:
“...covering the mercy seat with their wings...”
But this was more than an ancient design.
The picture brings together:
🔥 HOLINESS
❤️ MERCY
🩸 BLOOD
✨ PRESENCE
The Mercy Seat was associated with the blood of atonement.
Hebrews 9:5 calls them:
“cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat.”
And ultimately, this points us toward Christ.
But there is another powerful revelation:
The Word of God was inside the Ark.
So we see:
THE WORD
↓
THE MERCY SEAT
↓
THE CHERUBIM
↓
THE PRESENCE OF GOD
This teaches us something important:
God's presence and God's Word belong together.

WHY WERE TWO CHERUBIM PLACED OVER THE ARK OF THE COVENANT?
What was God revealing through their outstretched wings over the mercy seat?
Exodus 25:22 gives us a remarkable answer:
“And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee…”
The Most Holy Place was not merely a physical room.
The Ark spoke of God's covenant.
The mercy seat spoke of mercy.
The cherubim pointed toward God's holiness and glory.
And above the mercy seat, God declared that He would meet and commune with His servant.
But there is a powerful lesson for us today.
God's presence deserves our attention.
In a world filled with noise, distraction, and constant activity, biblical meditation gives us an intentional opportunity to turn our minds toward God, reflect upon His Word, pray, worship, and become increasingly conscious of His presence.
