FACE THAT CHALLENGE 2

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20

In continuation of our discussion on facing the challenge of life, I want you to know that whatever you are passing through now is a stepping stone to your elevation and upliftment.

Nothing good comes so easy.

You have to fight to possess.

The land of Canaan was occupied by the Peruzites, the Jebusites, the Hittites, and all the ‘sites’ available, yet the Israelites were asked by God to go and possess it.

It means, they must fight to possess.

And when they fought, they actually possessed. In life, you have to fight to possess.

When Moses died, Joshua did not believe that he has the capacity to lead Israel to the promised land, God said to him, “be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:6-7).

It is challenges of life that make us to know the capacity of a person.

He who leaves to fight today, leaves to fight another day. You cannot leave the battles of life for your next generation, you must fight it now.

Your children have their own battles to fight, therefore, reduce the battles for them so that they can concentrate and choose the battles they want to fight.

The battle you refuse to fight today, will still be fought by your children tomorrow. It is better you fight it now. No retreat and no surrender.

Jesus says, “all things are possible to him that believes” (Mark 9:23). If you say to yourself “I am able”, then all of heaven and earth will back you up.

God will not do for you what you can do for yourself. Even when you are passing through some challenges, say “it is well with me”.

The Bible says “Let the weak say I am strong, and let the poor say I am rich”. Just believe in yourself and allow God work with you and through you.

Beloved, God works by the power inside of us.

Be strong and courageous and gather enough strength and develop enough capacity.

Face that challenges, challenges won’t kill you.

The Bible says “If you faint in the days of adversity, your strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10).

It is when the wind is heavy that the kit flies high.

The prowess of a lion is known when it meets a dangerous animal in the jungle.

Be wise....

FACE THAT CHALLENGE

Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth Mark 9:23

It is not what is happening around you that is important, what is important is what is happening inside you.

If you say “you are dead”, it does not matter how many people that prayed for you or how many clinics you have visited, you will surely die.

But if you say “it doesn’t matter what I am passing through, I will make it”, surely you will survive.

Life does not give you what you deserve, life gives you what you demand.

If only you can face those challenges.

What you are afraid of is actually afraid of you.

Without Goliath, David wouldn’t have been known. Without Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel would have been history as slave boy in Babylon.

Without Judas, Jesus would not have been crucified. Without Pharaoh, Moses would not have been a good leader to the Israelites.

It was challenges that announced each of them. Without persistence, courage, determination and calculated prayers, Hannah wouldn’t have had Prophet Samuel.

She faced barrenness with intentionality and focus, until barrenness gave her passage.

Without obstacles and challenges, you will not be able go far in life. Do not run away from the challenges of life.

When they come, just ask God, what are the lessons to learn from them? Also, when they come, do not wear swollen face, you are not the only one facing such challenge.

If life circumstances throw illiteracy at you, brace up and throw back education.

If it throws poverty at you, brace up and throw back riches and wealth. If life throws your back on the floor, do not stay there, gather enough momentum and fight back.

When life throws frustration and depression at you, bounce back with a cheerful and hopeful aura. With good planning and God by your side, you can make it.

If only you can face that challenge, it is only a matter of time, your challenge will be history.

Yes, you may not have surplus money at your disposal now, but do you know you are a multi-billionaire? Yes, you may be owing your landlord some rent now, but do you know you are an estate owner? Yes, you may be trekking now, do you know you can own fleet of cars tomorrow? If you believe it, you can do it.

Beloved, make up your mind and be strong.

Build and develop enough spiritual stamina, and mental capacity, to be able to withstand and conquer any challenge that life throws at you.

Quitters do not win and those who win never quits. , Brace up for the challenge. Challenges are what God uses to announce His beloved.

Be wise..

CONFESSION: Father, put in me bold and audacious spirit to challenge my challenges in Jesus name.

THE BLESSING

The LORD bless thee , and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: Numbers 6:24_25

To work in God's Blessings is to work in God's Command.

Walking in God's Command determines the Blessing you obtain.

Patterning your life after God's law is the prequisite for the manifestation of the Blessing ( see Dut 11:26_28).

Your total obedience Command God's blessings.

When your obedience is not full you can't experience the full manifestation of the Blessing.

To function in the curse is to live in Disobedience.

Every Disobedience causes prolonged Blessings and testimony ( Dut 30:19).

A prolonged life is a function of your choice not to live right.

Obeying God's Command positions you into the realms of undiable Grace.

Grace respond to obedience.

You live in a curse when you live your life outside God.

Every Blessing that must manifest must be accompanied with total obedience to God's voice ( Genesis 12:_3).

Every obedience ends up in great manifestation.

Your Blessing is the product of your desire to walk in perfection.

You can't experience the Blessing when you live in Sin.

Sin cut off God's blessing from your life.

Beloved, A lasting Blessing is made manifest when you live outside sin.

Sin gives the devil access to depress and manipulate you.

If you don't serve God faithfully you can't Command God's blessings.

Therefore: run from sin and decide to live right so that the Blessing will flow in your life fully.

CONFESSION: I Walk in the Blessing, I am free from the curse of the law in Jesus Christ name.

PRAYER

Verily I say unto you. Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:18

Prayer is God’s invitation to enter His presence for the purpose of communion and intimacy.

Prayer gives us access to the deep mysteries that are in Christ Jesus.

If whatever you are going through in life is not in your favour, you are duty bound to alter that situation in the place of prayer.

Elijah altered the weather and season to suit his demand, and also commanded fire to deal with the onslaught of his enemies (see 1 Kings 17).

Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still over Gibeon and the Valley of Aijalon until he has destroyed the enemies of Israel (Joshua 10:1-15).

Prayer gives you the power to temper, alter, redress, address and reposition the elements of nature in your favour.

Prayer is the expression of the essence of your Divinity to deal with the natural frailties and patterns of your humanity.

Prayer is connecting to your source.

It is the cord that keeps us connected to the father which means our source.

The greatest power can be found in the man who has made prayer his secret habitation.

Prayer is the mystery that measures and evaluates the tempo and spiritual temperature of a believer.

Such a man abides continually under the shadow of the Most High.

The power to enforce the will of God on earth as it is in heaven is birthed at the altar of prayer.

Prayer opens a believer up to the Divine portals for the enthronement of His will.

When Jesus was in the flesh, he prayed vehemently so the extent that prayer became His lifestyle.

Beloved, as long as you are flesh and blood, you have to pray.

By prayer you can cause supernatural moves for the alteration of circumstances and happenstances in your favour.

In prayer, you bind what needs to be bound and loose what needs to be loosed.

Prayer brings us to the place of intimacy with God.

Prayer is one of the way of becoming intimate with God in order to operate in the nature of God and become enlisted in the God-class kind of character and performance.

Therefore; Give yourself to prayer today.

CONFESSION: Father, give me the velocity and utterance of prayer. May the benefits of prayer be made evident in my life in Jesus name .

LET GO YOUR PAST

Because thou shall forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: And thine age shall be clearer than the moon day; thou shalt shine forth, thou shall be as the morning. And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety… Job 11:16_19

It is inconceivable to the injured that the injury can be forgotten.

It is to reach a place where the misery is pulled from the memory as a stinger pulled out of an insect bite.

Once the stinger is gone, healing is inevitable.

This passage points out so eloquently that the memory is as “waters that pass away”.

Stand in a stream with waters around your ankles.

The waters that pass by you at that moment, you will never see again.

So it is with the misery that has challenged your life: Let it go, let it pass away.

The brilliance of morning is in sharp contrast to the darkness of the night.

Perhaps David understood the after effects of traumatic deliverance when he said, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (see Psalms 30:5b)

There is such a security that comes when you are in the arm of God.

It is when we become secure in our relationship with God that we begin to allow the past to fall from like a garment.

We remember it, but choose not to wear it!

I am convinced that resting in the relationship that we have with God heals us from feeling of vulnerability.

It is a shame that many Christians have not yet rested in the promise of God.

Everyone needs reassurance, little girls as well as grown women need that sense of security.

In the process of creating Eve, the mother of all living, God’s time was crucial.

In fact, God did not unveil her until everything she needed was provided.

From establishment to relationship, all things were in order.

Innately the woman tends to need stability, she wants the sudden changes that disrupt or compromise her security.

It is when we become secure in our relationship with God that we begin to allow the past to fall from us like a garment.

Therefore; let your past go.

CONFESSION: Oh Lord, give me the grace to develop intimate relationship with you, deliver me from the mistake of the past in Jesus Christ name.

OVERCOMING ‘WORST’ TIMES

When thou passes through the water, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. When thou walks through the fire, thou shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2

Worst times are times in which it seems that the world is coming to an end upon your head.

Times in which everybody seems to desert you. God creates situations in order to give us a revelation.

He creates to reveal Himself so that we can gather experiences to touch and positively affect life.

God put you through enough so that you can minister to the need of others. It is your multiple experiences that gives you power to instruct, motivate, address and encourage others.

It will be difficult to touch somebody’s life if you have not gone through that way. God shows you things in pains that you can never get during comfort.

God allow ‘worst times’ come our way so that we could gather enough experiences to be an encouragement to someone.

Some feel that hardship in life indicate that God either has forsaken them or is punishing them for some sins they had committed.

The devil employed this trick and lie to deter us from seeking the heavenly Father. Do not ever think that you cannot make it in life.

That is a lie from the pit of hell.

You are God’s creation, nobody and nothing has the capacity and capability to stop you, unless you stop yourself.

Remember Joshua and Caleb. They saw victory and breakthrough even in the midst of hopelessness.

They trusted that God is able to see them through. Others saw giants that could prevent them from accessing the Promised Land, but they saw God giving them the Land as Promised.

Like Joshua and Caleb, believers must be persistent in faith even during the ‘worst of times’. No condition is permanent.

That wilderness experience will soon turn to testimony. Be persistence in faith even in the ‘wilderness’ of life.

Beloved, despite what you are facing, you must constantly remind yourself that you are God’s creation and He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

Receive grace to overcome worst times in Jesus Christ name.

CONFESSION: Father, uphold me with thy righteous hand in Jesus Christ name.

HE CARES FOR YOU

Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25

The verse above is an invitation from God for you to trust Him with your life.

He wants you to have no care or anxiety whatsoever about anything, because God loves you greatly, and tenderly cares for you.

He is saying to you “Give me your cares”.

As a child of God, you just come to the point in your life where you know, without a doubt, that God is not only big enough to take care of you, but equally willing to do so.

He is more willing for you to live and enjoy life to the full than you could ever imagine.

This takes the stress out of life, knowing that you serve a loving and compassionate Father, whose desire is for you to live a victorious life, you cast all your cares and worries upon Him.

The reason many people in the world are unhappy and burdened with lots of worries, being surfeited with the cares of life is that they are yet to accept God’s invitation.

They care so much about things of life that they have not given their cares to Him.

By meditating on their challenges, they shut the power of God from working on their behalf.

1 Peter 5:7 says “Casting all your cares upon Him, for he cares for you”.

God cares for you personally.

This means He knows you and He is concerned about you; therefore, trust Him with your life (see Psalms138:7).

This should be your attitude as a child of God.

Too many are focusing on the challenges and problems they are facing, and as a result, lose sight of God’s grace and presence.

Beloved, refuse to dwell on whatever challenges you may be facing right now! Think about the ability of the Holy Spirit.

He is great and powerful and can put you over adversity.

Give Him all your cares today.

CONFESSION:O Lord, I refuse to fret or worry over anything because you love me. You are so big and powerful enough to take care of me, today I worry less and I cast all my cares upon You in Jesus Christ name.

BE SMALL IN YOUR EYES.

“God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6b

The opposite of humility is pride. A proud man or woman has no regards for those that have gone ahead of him.

Neither has he or she any regards for those that are coming behind.

Pride brings a man down and makes him dwell in regrets and shame.

Limitations that men face today is a function of pride.

If you don't go down you can never go up in life.

Pride is a spirit. It has nothing to do with money.

If you see a rich man who is proud, know that the spirit of pride was latent in him.

It was just that he did not have the opportunity to exhibit it until the money came.

The word “resist,” as used in this text, means “oppose.”

God Himself is the one that fight a proud man.

Your problem most times is not from the devil it's from you.

If you can't say I am sorry, weither you are right or wrong you are dwelling in pride.

If, therefore, you know any proud man, don’t bother about his pride even though he hurts you. Just leave him to God.

What you should bear in mind is that if God opposes you, you are not only a spiritual casualty but a write-off.

It will therefore do you good to humble yourself because there is nothing beneficial in being proud.

Proverbs 15:25 has something very frightening to say about the proud, “The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow”.

This is to tell you how much God hates pride.

You must do away with pride, because if God opposes you, who can you run to or who will help you out.

You will automatically begin to fail in every aspect of life.

When others are succeeding, you will be lagging behind.

So do away with pride and be humble, Be humble to your pastor, you leader, your family and your boss.

If you don't kill pride today it will kill you.

Don't let pride make you loose those who God has sent to you to help you.

Humble yourself today and God shall beautify your life.

CONFESSION: Father, take away every spirit of pride from me today and make me humble in Jesus Christ name

EVIL DOCTRINES

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 1 Tim 4:1

Be careful of evil doctrines because we are in the last days where all kinds of messages are flying on the altars.

Many false prophets who have a form of Godliness but are evil have entered into the world and have even dominated the church.

You must study the Word of God to know the details of what it says.

This fake men of God go around introducing evil doctrines to gullible Christians who are void of the knowledge concerning the Word of God.

Despite the brutal and sagacious anointing of Apostle Paul, the Berean church always cross-checked his messages in order to ascertain whether it is in line with the dictates of the scriptures.

They were able to do so because they were knowledgeable on the Word.

Evil doctrines are what is ravaging believers and blowing them out of balance.

This makes them vulnerable and prey in the hands of fake men of God.

All this is as a result of our inability to sit down and study the Word so as to know the things embedded in the scriptures.

Studying the word of God helps you to come to the full knowledge of the son of God.

It helps you to easily ascertain the doctrine that is not of Christ.

Accepting those who do not bring the doctrine of Christ is directly partaking in their evil deeds and you cannot escape the judgement reserved for them on the last day (2 John 1:9-11).

Any man who does not bring the doctrine of Christ hath not God.

Believers must be careful on whom they submit to as their pastor.

Not all that glitters are gold.

There are so many fake prophets who are now operating as pastors.

They stage-manage and perform fake miracles in order to cage the gullible Christians.

Lack of studying the Word of God exposes you to the dangers of the wind of evil doctrines.

Those who are only after signs and wonders are easily captured and equally suffer casualty in the hands of those who brew out evil doctrines.

They are also tossed to and fro and carried about by this wind of evil doctrines (Ephesians 4:14).

Beloved, It is time the church rose up to keep preaching the undiluted Word of God (Epignosis) in order to rescue those who have been trapped in the net of this wicked men who brew out evil doctrines.

Any doctrine that is not of Christ should not be accepted.

Thrash every doctrine that is not in consonance with the scriptures.

The choice is yours..

CONFESSION: O Lord my God, help me to study and understand your Word, so that I will not be tossed, to-and-fro in frustration, by the wind of evil doctrines in Jesus Christ name.

YOUR RIGHT

And Isaac’s servants dogged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water: And the herdsmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdsmen saying, the water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. And they digged another well, and strove for that also, and he called the name of it Sitnah. And he removed from thence, and digged another well, and for that they strove not… Genesis 26: 19_22

Some believers express surprise when the devil shows up each time they make a move towards a noble objective.

God always causes us to triumph!

Determination is to keep coming again and again until every stop sign gives you the right of passage.

Determination is refusing to accept ‘NO’ for an answer.

Imagine the number of times Elijah sent his servant to find out if there was any sign of the promised rain in the horizon and many times his servant came back with the report, ”There is nothing”.

But the servant of God had the word of the Lord to stand on.

Surely, persistence does break down resistance.

Until your desire to succeed gets stronger than your enemies’ intentions to stop you, you are not likely to get anywhere.

You have to stop to set your face like a flint and refuse to be daunted.

Too many believers give up too early.

They lack a fighting spirit.

At the slightest brush they have with any opposition they are left spiritless.

If you give up before winning, you gave up too soon.

Until you win, whatever is happening to you is just a preamble.

They are events that are preparing the way for your eventual victory.

You have to be determined enough, to persevere until the opposition gives up.

We read in our text that Isaac’s servants dug a well and the herdsmen of Gerar came and dispossessed them of it.

Rather than waste time striving with them, they moved ahead and contested with them and the philistines gave up due to their insistence.

If you refuse to give up, the opposition will.

Satan does not have what it takes to maintain his pressure eternally on a life that refuses to give up.

If you resist the devil (in Jesus name) he will not stand there grinning at you.

Insist in your right and whatsoever and whoever will flee!

Beloved, understand that if you don't stand your ground you will not gain in life.

Giving up too soon is a mark of faithlessness.

You must make that decision today to stand your ground on what belongs to you.

Don't give up too soon, insist on your right and you shall receive it.

CONFESSION: Oh LORD, I shall not give up before my breakthrough show up. I break the yoke of frustration and discouragement over my life in Jesus Christ name.
