🚨 BREAKING: ALL CANDIDATES LINKED TO NYESOM WIKE IN RIVERS APC HAVE BEEN NULLIFIED! 🚨

The political drama in Rivers State has taken yet another dramatic turn.

The restored Rivers APC leadership under Emeka Beke has reportedly declared null and void all candidates who emerged from the party primaries conducted under the Tony Okocha-led executive, a faction widely regarded as being loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

But that is not all.

The restored faction has also reportedly insisted that the votes cast during the local government elections belong to its own candidates and not the individuals currently occupying the council seats.

This position follows the Court of Appeal judgment that upheld the nullification of the congresses that produced the Okocha-led APC executive in Rivers State.

If the restored APC leadership succeeds in enforcing its position, the political consequences could be enormous, affecting party candidates, local government officials, and the balance of power within the APC in Rivers State.

The bigger question many Nigerians are asking is this: Will the ruling party and relevant authorities allow the judgment of the court to take full effect and restore what the victorious faction claims belongs to it, or will this become another case of prolonged political and legal battles despite a court ruling?

For a country that claims to operate under the rule of law, should court judgments be obeyed regardless of whose interests are affected, or should politics continue to determine which judgments are respected and which are ignored?
