How to Fix the 'Error: MySQL Shutdown Unexpectedly' Problem in XAMPP?

While working with the MySQL platform, I encounter an error known as "Error: MySQL shutdown unexpectedly." This issue is often attributed to problems within the database and corrupted files. Most people (including me) often uninstall and reinstall XAMPP in other to fix this error there by losing all their databases.
Resolving the error involves addressing these corrupted files, and the error may typically occur when attempting to start the XAMPP control panel and the Apache module.
In this article, I will explain the methods I used to effectively resolve this issue.

STEPS

1. Stop the XAMPP server, MySQL, and Apache.
2. Create a backup of the "/xampp/mysql/data" folder using compression software.
3. Rename the "/xampp/mysql/data" folder to "/xampp/mysql/data-old."
4. Create a new folder and name it "/xampp/mysql/data."
5. Copy all folders from the "/xampp/mysql/backup" and paste them into the newly created "/xampp/mysql/data" folder.
6. Copy all databases from the "/xampp/mysql/data-old" folder and paste them into the "/xampp/mysql/data" folder.
7. Copy the "ibdata1" and all log files, including "ib_logfile0" and "ib_logfile1," from "/xampp/mysql/data-old" and paste them into the "/xampp/mysql/data" folder.
8. Start MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
9. Go to phpMyAdmin to check if all databases are available and running properly.
