Meet Chimmanda, a bright student who consistently scored A's in math, ranking 7th in her class. I challenged her to strive for excellence, telling her that her best was merely average in my eyes. Initially taken aback, Chimmanda soon understood the value of pushing herself beyond her comfort zone.
Through persistent effort and targeted learning, we worked together to improve her skills. There were moments when she'd get frustrated, but I'd lighten the mood with playful teasing and traditional stories. By the end of the second term, she'd climbed to 2nd position in math.
In the third term, I intensified her learning process, and although she jokingly complained about my "meanness," she rose to the challenge. In less than two months, she solved two exercise books, and her hard work paid off. By the end of the term, Chimmanda had become the best in math in her entire JSS1 class! 📚🏆
