Once, we were aquatinted with chalk board, now we have white board on which marker is used but today, technology has landed itself into the teaching profession.

ICT is the trending innovation of the 21st century. The best way out is to embrace it with our heart and do your best to be aquatinted with it.

Very soon, projectors which will require PowerPoint or Photoshop application to teach will be made available for teachers.
So, how good are we in power point presentation etc.

Some schools have done trails using the privilege offered by Covid 19 pandemic lockdown.

Teachers, let brace up for the worst because our learners deserves the best.

How do you see yourself?
The truth is that, the world will see you as you do see yourself.

If you see less of yourself, just know that others will see you less. They will trample and fiddle you underfoot.

When you see more of other professions and careers, and less of the teaching profession and career you have been called into, then brace up for heart attack, frustration and depression.

Teaching alone is enough stress, why add to it this unnecessary burden.

If you think and believe that, you are in the wrong profession, the best is to quit and opt for that which thy soul desires or that which you think and believe is your dream.

Most teachers has unfortunately, turned or vented there frustration and depression on innocent children whom they are given charge to care for academically.

They are the one who go about giving this noble profession a negative dent.

We know the system isn't in our favour, but we must hold our hope and expectations high because tommorow is pregnant of glad tidings.

See yourself as a nation builder,
See yourself as a life transformer,
See yourself as a society preservative,
See yourself as a model,
And I bet you, people will start seeing that in you.

Teaching is an expensive and demanding industry, for that reason; teachers deserves double honor and privileges.

They should not be treated with levity and disrespect because if you do, prepare for the ripple effect.

First, the disposition of the teacher, begins to affect the learner.

Second the learning process begins to drag and lag.

Thirdly, the teaching process becomes burdensome.

We live in a society, that looks down on those who build the future of the society.

We are meant to think that our presence are inconsequential and our absence is without essence.

They lie,
As a teacher, I refuse to be treated like a trash by people who think they attain that position of power while sitting at home.

Are we indispensable?
Not at all,
We hold the future of the society,
We can make or mar this future, but we choose otherwise.

Earlier, I mentioned one code of conduct that guides teachers in the teaching profession.

Here, I want to look at another code.

¤AVOIDANCE EXCESSIVE PLAY

👉As a teacher whether at the primary or secondary level, play should be part of your teaching skills.

👉A teacher that can not play, will turn out to be boring and strict.
Teaching requires an ambience of fun and play.

👉In as much as, teachers should be fun to be with and posseses good play skill, it must not be in excess.

👉Know when to play,
👉Know when to discipline,
👉Know when to be fun,
👉Know when to be strict.

👉If you don't the children will take you for a ride and I bet you wouldn't come back whole.

👉When you become too playful, you tend to make your pupils or student, to become more disrespectful.

👉The truth is teachers that play excessively have tendency of being pedophilic.

Teachers Teaching Professional standard are those codes of conducts that helps to guide teachers in administering there responsibilities and duties.

Many teachers, have fall prey to different forms of vices whether intentional or unintentional because of none adherence to those codes.

Pedophilic and sexual abuse tendencies are on high in our post primary education segment and the universal basic education segment isn't spared.

This codes are not exhaustive. You can add to it so as to make the teaching profession void of scandalous accusations.

*AVOIDANCE OF CLOSE SITTING

Such close sitting arrangements includes sitting on teachers laps & sitting on teachers desk.

Once you give female pupils & students the opportunity of sitting on your laps or on your desk you are prone to attempt fi*****ng
(I believe you understand what I meant).

We are wired to be emotional and sensual.

So lets not allow our default state drag the teaching profession to the mud.

Reduce and minimize the tension by staying off students or pupils(FEMALE) especially MALE TEACHERS.

Pedophilic tendencies becomes more sure when we as teachers begin to break the teaching professional standards.

As teachers, we must maintain these stands, if not, we will create room for our own demise.

I know a pupil who reported to her parent. She told them how the teacher use to finger her virginal.

He would have averted that incident if he adhered to the teaching professional standards for teachers.

This standards are meant to protect and give guidance to teachers.

¤How do you intend to meet up with them?

The truth is that many teachers dont have personal set goals for there pupils and students.

They operate and navigate the corridors of learning without a compass or a map.

Little wonder the learners are not performing well as you expected them.

You must strike a balance between generally expected outcomes of learning and personally expected outcomes from each pupils which must synchronize with the general outcomes.

This will help you know the improvement level of each learner.
