Happy Sunday
Today I will be explaining a passage in the Bible both as a Christian and as a graduate of History and international studies!
Ephesians 6 vs 5 : Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
Don’t get me wrong Buh most times it’s good to know our roots and the roots of things! And what they imply or stand for 🧐🤨
The statement is advising slaves to obey their earthly masters in a respectful and fearful manner, as well as with sincerity, similar to how they would obey Christ. It draws a parallel between obedience to earthly authorities and obedience to a higher spiritual authority. This passage emphasizes the importance of humility and dedication in one's actions, regardless of the circumstances.
Now I still feel this is wrong since
God is love , how could the almighty support slavery ! Which portrays violence , wickedness and control of people or persons who once had freedom on their own !
Slavery shows evil schemes of ill hearted people who feel they have higher power !
I am still confused to how God could support slavery
I feel this was included by our colonial masters to brainwash us !
