"CALLED, TRAINED, AND SENT: DON'T WASTE THE WILDERNESS"
To everyone reading this in HFBA :
God did not bring you to Holy Ghost and Fire Bible Academy just to collect a certificate.
He brought you here to be broken, built, and branded for assignment.
1. SCHOOL IS NOT THE GOAL, SENDING IS
Moses spent 40 years in the palace, 40 years in the wilderness, then 40 years in ministry.
Jesus spent 30 years preparing, 3 years in ministry.
What you’re learning now is not for now. It’s for later.
Don’t rush the process. The classroom, the prayer meetings, the serving in obscurity... God is using all of it.
2. CHARACTER BEFORE ANOINTING
People want the microphone, but God is checking the heart.
Saul got the crown without character and lost everything.
David was faithful with sheep before he was trusted with a nation.
God can anoint you overnight, but He can only promote you when your character can carry it.
Guard your heart. Kill pride. Kill comparison. Kill bitterness.
3. YOU ARE BEING SENT, NOT JUST TAUGHT
Luke 10:1 - “After this the Lord appointed 72 others and sent them two by two”_
The end of training is sending.
That fellow student you’re looking down on? *He or she may be the one God sent particularly to you.
That assignment that looks too small? That’s your testing ground.
Serve unto God, not unto men - Colossians 3:23.
But the sent one should not go for recognition. He should focus on what God wants him to do. And bear in mind that God is the one you're working for.
4. DON’T WASTE THE WILDERNESS
Some of you feel hidden, overlooked, not used. Good.
David was anointed in the field before he was announced in the palace.
Use this season to:
a. Sharpen your gift- Practice preaching, praying, counseling now
b. Grow in the secret place - What you do in secret is what God will reward openly
c. Seek God’s direction - “Lord, should I stay and wait, or should I move?”_ Don’t leave in anger. Leave in obedience.
5. KNOW WHO YOU ARE
1 Peter 2:9 - “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation”_
You are not just a student. You are a sent one in training.
Heaven has already stamped you. Man’s delay is not God’s denial.
School is not where you come to be seen.
It’s where you come to be shaped.
Stay teachable. Stay loyal. Stay faithful. Stay ready.
Because the same God that called you will announce you.
And when God opens a door, no man can shut - Revelation 3:7.
Your wilderness has an expiry date. Your assignment is waiting.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Prayer
👇👇👇👇
Father, in Jesus name, thank You for calling us to School of Ministry.
Lord, reveal our purpose and help us not to waste this season.
Build our character and give us servant hearts. Deliver us from pride and seeking recognition.
Teach us to honor one another, because the one we overlook may be the one You sent to us.
In this hidden season, sharpen us and prepare us.
Direct our steps at the end of training.
Brand us for assignment, and when You send us, use us.
You called us, You will announce us. In Jesus name, Amen.
