TICA Equips Teachers for Excellence as College Hosts One-Day Professional Development Seminar
Tansi International College, Awka, today hosted a one-day seminar/workshop for its teachers, bringing together over 40 members of the teaching staff for a day of learning, reflection, professional development and renewed commitment to educational excellence.
The seminar, organized ahead of the commencement of the new academic session, provided an enriching platform for teachers to deepen their understanding of contemporary teaching practices and the responsibilities that come with educating and forming young minds.
The programme commenced with an address by the Principal of Tansi International College, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hilary Okwunalu, who welcomed and encouraged the teachers, emphasizing the importance of dedication, professionalism, teamwork and continuous improvement in the pursuit of quality education.
The teachers were thereafter treated to insightful and engaging presentations by the two guest speakers: Mrs. Nfor, Marybruno Chinatu and Rev. Fr. Dennis Nwabueze, who shared valuable perspectives and practical strategies relevant to effective teaching, classroom management, mentorship and the changing demands of education in the 21st century.
The sessions were highly interactive, with teachers actively participating, asking questions and sharing experiences. The atmosphere throughout the programme reflected the College's strong commitment to building a competent, motivated and forward-looking teaching team.
The Vice Principal (Academics), Rev. Fr. Patrick Nweke, served as the Master of Ceremonies and moderator of the entire programme, skillfully coordinating the sessions and ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of activities. He also had time to inform the teachers of the management's expectations for the new academic session.
With the full participation of the College's teaching staff, the seminar ended on a positive note, leaving the teachers better equipped, inspired and prepared to embrace the new academic session with renewed energy and purpose.
At Tansi International College, Awka, we believe that the quality of education we offer is deeply connected to the quality of the teachers who deliver it. Hence, we continue to invest in the professional growth and development of our teachers.
