📖 The Story of Abu Lahab – A Lesson for Every Believer
Abu Lahab was the uncle of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, yet his close family relationship did not benefit him because he rejected the truth, opposed Islam, and harmed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Allah revealed an entire Surah (Surah Al-Masad) about his fate as a warning for all generations.
His story teaches us that:
Family ties alone cannot save anyone.
Wealth, power, and status cannot protect a person from Allah's judgment.
Pride and hatred can blind the heart from accepting the truth.
True success is found in faith, obedience, and sincerity to Allah.
Allah says:
إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ
"Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." (Qur'an 49:13)
May Allah make us among those who accept the truth, remain steadfast upon Islam, and grant us a good ending. Ameen.

Alhamdulillāh for the blessings of our last Jumu'ah.

Our last Jumu'ah Khutbah at the Central Mosque of Arabic Village, Abu Taj Hafiz Markaz Group of Schools, Ankpa, Kogi State, was truly beneficial and full of valuable reminders.

We thank Allah for granting us the opportunity to gather for Jumu'ah, listen to the Khutbah, and increase in knowledge and faith. May Allah reward our teachers and all those who made the gathering successful.

May Allah accept our worship, forgive our sins, keep us firm upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and allow us to witness many more Jumu'ah prayers in good health and strong īmān.

All praise is due to Allah, who has granted us the opportunity to witness another Friday. May He accept our prayers, forgive our sins, increase us in beneficial knowledge, and fill our hearts with taqwā (God-consciousness).

Speaking of Arabic Every Day

Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. It is the language of the Holy Qur'an and an important means of communication for millions of people. Many students study Arabic in schools and universities, but only a few become confident speakers. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of regular speaking practice.

The best way to improve your Arabic speaking is to speak the language every day. Daily practice helps learners build confidence, improve pronunciation, and communicate more naturally. Learning grammar and memorizing vocabulary are important, but they are not enough unless they are put into practice through speaking.

Students can practise Arabic in many simple ways. They can greet their friends in Arabic, introduce themselves, discuss their daily activities, describe objects around them, or share their opinions on different topics. They can also listen to Arabic news, lectures, and conversations, then repeat what they hear. Reading Arabic books aloud and participating in classroom discussions are also effective methods of improving speaking skills.

Many learners are afraid of making mistakes, but mistakes are a natural part of learning. Every mistake provides an opportunity to learn and improve. Students should not be discouraged by errors; instead, they should continue speaking with confidence while accepting corrections from teachers and friends.
