A WELL-DESERVED HONOUR FOR HON. TINA ZUOERE, Ph.D.

Today, we celebrate not just an award, but a life of service, sacrifice, compassion and impact.

Hon. Tina Zuoere, Ph.D., CEO of Kendrick Idiseye Foundation, has been honoured with the prestigious Alamieyeseigha Legacy Awards, presented by Save the Niger Delta Initiative (SNDI) in collaboration with INC, IYC & Ijaw Diaspora Council.

The award recognizes her for “Honoring Sacrifice, Celebrating Service, Lighting-up the Niger Delta,” in acknowledgement of her incredible works in philanthropy, community development and motherhood.

This honour is a powerful recognition of a woman whose commitment to humanity goes far beyond words. Through her generosity, she has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is not merely about occupying a position—it is about touching lives, lifting people, empowering communities and giving hope to those who need it most.

What makes this recognition even more remarkable is that Hon. Tina Zuoere did not come merely to receive an honour. She came to give.

In a remarkable demonstration of her character, she made a huge cash donation towards the unveiling of the book, turning an occasion meant to celebrate her into another opportunity to support knowledge, history, culture and the preservation of legacies.

That singular gesture speaks volumes about the kind of woman she is.

A giver.
A builder.
A philanthropist.
A woman of service.
A woman who believes in people.
A woman who understands that true greatness is measured by the lives we positively influence.

The Alamieyeseigha Legacy Awards therefore feels like more than a plaque—it is a reflection of the footprints Hon. Tina Zuoere is leaving in the sands of time.

Her story reminds us that when service is genuine, recognition will eventually come. When generosity is consistent, lives will testify. And when a person dedicates herself to humanity, her legacy becomes bigger than her name.

Congratulations, Hon. Tina Zuoere, Ph.D., on this well-deserved honour.

May this award inspire even greater accomplishments, and may your continued sacrifices and humanitarian efforts bring more light, hope and opportunities to the people of the Niger Delta and beyond.

You have been honoured because you have served.
You have been celebrated because you have impacted lives.
And you will be remembered because you chose to make a difference.

Congratulations, Dr. Tina Zuoere! A worthy recipient of the Alamieyeseigha Legacy Award

AKPARAKATA GESIKEME WROTE 👇

THE GODDESS IS COMING

Rumours are rumours. Rumours are not true. But for the first time, rumours became true.

My encounter with Hon. Tina Zouere Ph.D, CEO, King Kendrick Idiseye Foundation - ran into a literary moment with a goddess.

It was like King Robert Ebizimor’s song: "Peremo bo ere is a Goddess." It was like listening to the deity Epere Tua Bo Gede of Angalabiri Community. The Deity shrouded in mystery.

We were not expecting a woman out of the ordinary. We were expecting, at least, a beautiful woman, as portrayed in the pictures.

We sat in her parlour to formally invite her to the Tripartite Book Launch and Award Ceremony on Thursday, 27th August 2026 at Ijaw House, Yenagoa. She has been selected as Mother of the Day and recipient of the Izon Woman Personality Award for her love demonstrated to little children, widows, and the underprivileged in our society.

Her younger brother, Mr. Presley, a gentleman to the soul, served us good wine.

Then the shocker came.

A very beautiful woman walked in with the aura of a goddess. Her presence illuminated the whole room that for a moment we didn’t remember the light in the parlour was not on.

Then we knew we were in the presence of a mystery of the universe. Then we knew the beauty was not ordinary. Then we knew angels could come in the form of a human being.

Her eyes reflect gold. One cannot gaze into them. Like the eyes of a Pharaoh whose eyes represent the God of the sun, Hon. Tina Zouere, Ph.D was no less.

Like the Queen of Sheba she commands the beauty of the earth. Like Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, her gaze was a weapon. She hardly smiles. She carries the bearing of a queen with the heart of a king. Beneath the beauty, I saw a woman of steel - strong character, strong conviction.

We had a good moment. And she accepted the invitation to attend personally.

Then she spoke on THE ORU TRIBE CALLED IJON.

"What the English called Angels and God is what the Izon man called Oru. Because the white man did not understand our mysteries, in his foolishness, he called the African way of worship demonic. What makes one demonic because I pour wine to the earth for God to bless me? But when they drink wine and eat the flesh of Jesus, which to me is a very cannibalistic behaviour, they call it religious rite. My pain is this: Who did this to Africa? Who erased our right thinking?"

And then she smiled.

"I will attend Akparakata. You have vindicated my right to religious freedom without shame of stereotypes."

The Goddess is coming to Ijaw House.
And on the 27th of August, she shall be decorated with the prestigious Izon Woman Personality Award.

Sustain the Vision. Advance the Agenda. Secure the Future.

Come to Ijaw House and hear Hon. (Barr.) KINGSLEY K Kuku Ph.D. speak to the soul of Izon.

Gesikeme Akparakata is the Pen Militant.
