Back in 2013, we received an email from The Pollination Project.

They awarded us $1,000 to pilot what was then called the Public Art Project.

It wasn’t a large grant.

But it was the spark and the momentum we needed to begin.

A small group of artists and partners came together to build a Human Rights workshop over four Saturdays.

That one “yes” mattered.

Because it wasn’t just about the project.
It was about belief.

Belief in the work.
Belief in the young people.
Belief that something could be built.

And we’ve been building ever since.

One early yes can shift everything.
One pilot can become a platform.

We are building forward.

Meet the Artists.

We’re proud to introduce a group of creatives shaping the future of Nigerian art and visual storytelling.

Through Public Art Africa , mentors and their mentees are together again creating, sharing, learning, and exhibiting their work side by side.

These artists are not just creating work.

They are building language, exploring identity, and expanding how we see and understand the world around us.

This June, their work will be part of a larger exhibition bringing together our Public Art Africa alumni of artists, performers, and creatives pushing culture forward.

Dates:
June 12–14 | Art Exhibition
June 13 | Live Event

This is an opportunity to engage with the work, collect original pieces, and be part of a growing creative ecosystem.
