Syllabuses of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO) and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have undergone some reviews in recent times, due to the enrichment of secondary school curriculum by the government. More topics have been added to the syllabuses consequently making the time required to finish the syllabuses elongated.
In view of this, Excel is embarking on a review of her calendar. We shall let the public know as soon as our new calendar is approved.

This is to inform the public that Excel CD, Akure will begin preparation for 2026 UTME by JAMB and WASSCE by WAEC on the 1st of September, 2025. The Centre begins both syllabuses simultaneously on the date.
Note that SSCE by NECO has the same syllabus with WASSCE, except for Literature in English, which changes yearly. For this reason students preparing for SSCE should also join us as we start.
If preparation prevents poor performance, then early preparation guarantees excellent performance.

The management of Excel CD, Akure, wishes to inform our immediate past UTME students that, the Post University Matriculation Examination (Post UTME) classes will start this week as promised. Other students who performed well in the last UTME can also join us as we begin the syllabuses and treatment of Post UTME past questions of various universities.

Everyone has the right to aspire but not everyone is ready to perspire in order to inspire. If you desire to clear the next UTME, SSCE or WASSCE, this is the time to begin preparation. Join us in Excel today, as we have just started the syllabuses.
We teach you to know not just to pass.

Time is like money, if you suddenly found yourself in money without any plan for it, you are most likely going to waste it by buying this and that, things that are not really necessary. So is time, we all come to this twenty four hours daily, if do not plan for each day, you are most likely going to waste your time, doing things that don't add real value to your life. If money is precious more so time, for your time is your life.

Today, being the first of May, 2025 marks the beginning of new session in Excel, the 2025 GCE class. We intend to go through WAEC and NECO syllabuses starting from today and round off on 31st August, 2025. Please take note.

The Management of Excel Centre for Development, Akure wishes to inform the general public, particularly those who are to write WASCCE, NECO-SSCE and UTME next year, that the institution has started classes and syllabus afresh for the aforementioned examinations.

2021 UTME: JAMB sets to begin sale of registration forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) says it has concluded all arrangements to commence the sale of 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration forms.

The board disclosed this in its Vol. 2, No. 15 Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar and made it available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

The board said that official dates for the commencement of the sale of both documents and the conduct of the examinations would be announced not later than March 24.

According to JAMB, the 2021 exercise was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The board, therefore, warned that any ongoing sale of forms and registration was fraudulent and not associated with JAMB.

“This year’s exercise, unlike the previous years, is peculiar because of the series of disruptions to virtually all aspects of public life occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is with this extant reality in mind that the delay is being experienced, with the board embarking on series of strategic adjustments, aimed at ensuring that academic activities are not unduly impacted.

“The public is to note that the 2021 UTME/DE application forms are not yet on sale. Anybody advertising anything to the contrary is a fraudster,” it warned.

The board, while reiterating its commitment to ensuring sanity in the entire process, also disclosed that it had apprehended one Mr Okogu Ambrose for illegally registering candidates.

Ambrose, the board further explained, was caught after collecting monies from innocent candidates in the name of registering them for the yet-to-commence 2021/2022 UTME exercise.

“Ambrose is a serial offender, who was arrested in 2020 for extorting money for which he had no authorisation to execute.

“The board would, however, ensure that relevant security agencies prosecute Ambrose with the hope that he does not escape the long arm of the law this time,” it stated.

JAMB also appealed to all and sundry to support its drive towards ensuring that bad eggs in the society, who were bent on destroying education developmental aspirations, were made to face the full wrath of the law.

The Management of Excel Centre for Development, Akure wishes to inform all students, particularly those who are to write WASCCE, NECO-SSCE and Post-UTME, that the institution resumed classes for the aforementioned examinations on July 1, 2020.
