AVCTA Holds Her 41st Convocation Ceremony in Grand Style, Applauds the Rector
The atmosphere at Archbishop Vining College of Theology, Akure (AVCTA) was filled with joy, thanksgiving, celebration, and remarkable accomplishments as the institution successfully held its 41st Convocation Ceremony in a grand and historic style.
The event, which will remain memorable in the annals of the college, showcased the continuous growth, academic excellence, and visionary leadership presently being experienced in the institution under the administration of the Rector, The Ven (Assoc Prof) Moses Adebolu Adetunmbi (PhD Ife, JP). Indeed, this year’s convocation ceremony was exceptional, unique, and highly commendable in all ramifications.
One of the major highlights of the occasion was the dedication of the newly completed 28-room Archbishop Adetiloye Retreat Centre, a monumental project that stands as a great addition to the college facilities and a testament to purposeful leadership and development.
The convocation ceremony also featured the conferment of prestigious awards, including the Grand Pillar of Support and Fellow of Academy of Theology (GPSFAT), on notable dignitaries and noble personalities who have contributed immensely to the growth of theological education and the advancement of the Church.
Another historic milestone recorded during the ceremony was the graduation of 10 women in Diploma in Ministry (Women Leadership Empowerment Programme), the first of its kind in the history of the college. This remarkable achievement reflects the institution’s commitment toward empowering women for effective ministry and leadership in the Church and society.
Furthermore, the college graduated and commissioned 26 Regular Bachelor of Theology students, alongside 35 Summer B.Th students who successfully completed their academic and ministerial training.
In another groundbreaking achievement, AVCTA also graduated 10 Master of Theology (M.Th) students and one Postgraduate Diploma
