THE (10) SCHOOL MANAGER'S TOOLKITS
Today, I present the first toolkit of the school manager;
'POSITIONING'
1- If you want your school to be the choice of the parents who really appreciate and value quality education, it is imperative to position your school for a unique proposition.
2- In the business world, you either have a unique selling proposition or a finest predictable value if you want to profit greatly from the business.
3- Predictable Value is the framework that guides private schools through every step of their transformational journey, starting with the end goal in mind.
4- Your school instructional and operational outcomes can be 'predictable' if you define a unique position for your school. You should know where you are taking your school and how to get to the desired destination, otherwise every bust stop would look attractive.
5- Positioning clearly and quickly communicates what makes your school stand out among equals. It is one of the tools that drives the right parents to your school and perhaps makes your service better than competitors (if there is any).
6- Positioning can also serve an important role administratively as it forces you to consider your school’s mission and its very reason for being (the vision).
7- As a school owner, you need to be clear with the class of people you want your school to serve, what drives you to serve the class, and how you can convince the class that you are their 'choice'.
8- Positioning is your school key differentiator and the reason your "targets" will see your school as the choice. This equally plays an important role in your marketing strategy for attracting new and the right parents to your school.
9- You must however remember that your school may not start off being in the position you want. The approach is to keeping adding value, to keep improving, tirelessly and ceaselessly.
10- If the dream has not become a reality, it is still not time to say enough.
This is the bit I have the capacity to present today.
Till tomorrow,
I remain your partner along the path to bridging the Gap between Personal Priorities and Business Realities
