The newly inaugurated Governing Council team, chaired by Chief Austin Adeze (Council Chairman) had their first-ever meeting with the Staff Member of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti. Accompanied by the Management Staff of the Institution which was led by the Rector Dr T.T Akande, they took a tour around the facilities of the Institution and visited the Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) - the ICT Backbone of the Institution.
They expressed satisfaction with the facilities on ground and promise better days of ICT experience ahead for the Institution.
This is wishing the newly constituted Governing Council Members a successful and prosperous tenure in office and to the wholesome benefit of the Institution Amen.

The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti upgrades her Internet Infrastructures/Services/Cloud to reach all extremes of the Campus.
Thanks to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for the intervention, thanks to the Rector for the initiatives.
A current ongoing process - 18/06/2017

The FPA-CICT Team led by the Rector Dr T.T Akande at NBTE Kaduna for the flag-off of the Steering Committee on Open and Distance Learning (ODL)/Flexible Skill Development(FSD) eLearning Project. Host Dr M. A. Kazaure, Executive Secretary NBTE kaduna, 24th May, 2017.

The FPA-CICT delegates at the ongoing 5 Days Annual Advanced Hands-on Workshop on ICT 2017: Network Configuration and Troubleshooting. Anchored at National Institute for Education Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Ondo State.

Last week Saturday 29th April 2017, FPA successfully conducted the JAMB 2017 Mock Exam at the FPA 400+ seater capacity CBT Centre anchored by the FPA CICT Team.
JAMB crew expressed absolute satisfaction on the standard and readiness on the Institution to conduct the forthcoming 2017 JAMB exam.

Today 16th February, 2017, the Rector Dr T. T Akande commissioned a Mini Cyber Cafe at CICT (Computers sourced from previously abandoned Systems now revived and put to productive use by CICT). This Cafe is opened to all stakeholders of the Institutions as a quick access to Internet use on Campus.
Subsequently, the Rector inspected the ongoing School of Engineering (SOE) Fiber Optics Project while accompanied by the Dean SoE, Dr Adeoti and the IT Manager Engr J. J Momoh and the CICT Crew. She lauded the efforts of the CICT crew for helping the Institution put this facilities on ground, which was previously seen as a No-Go Project for the Institution. She also lauded the ingenious crew for the in-house capacity deployment of these facilities in the last 12 months.

Work continues....

Even on Loves own day (14th February 2017), work continues... The Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT) Hosted the FPA Chapter of ASUP. During this exercise the visitors were exposed to all the Projects recently executed by the CICT Team within the last 12 Month. In enthusiasm, the Chairman ASUP, FPA Chapter, Mr Owoeye appraised the CICT Team for the team spirit and sacrifices and urges them to continue on the selfless sacrifice given to the Institution to ensure that the School plays a leading role in ICT implementation in Nigeria Academic Industry. He further thanked them for saving the Institution Millions of Naira which would have gone for IT consulting.
