🚨 7 SIGNS YOUR PHONE IS HACKED
1. Battery draining fast. There is chances that there are some hidden malware running in your phone background 24/7. This can drain power even when you are not using your phone. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery Usage. Find the app hogging power. Don't recognize it? Uninstall it immediately. Still draining after that? Back up your data and do a full factory reset — that clears out anything hidden.
2. Unknown apps you didn't install. Not something your kid downloaded. An app that just... appeared.Delete it immediately — don't open it first. Then check Settings → Apps → Recently Installed to see if there are others hiding. Change your Google/Apple ID password right after, since this usually means something already had access
3. Dial #21 # shows call forwarding is on
Dial # #21 # to turn OFF all call forwarding
Then go to your carrier's app or call them directly to confirm it's fully disabled. If you didn't set this up, also change your voicemail PIN — that's a common entry point.
4. Data usage spikes
Go to Settings → Data Usage → see which app is using the most restrict background data for anything suspicious (Settings → App → Mobile Data → Background Data OFF). Run a security scan with a trusted app (Play Protect on Android, or a reputable scanner) to catch hidden malware.
5. Locked out of an account
Use the "Forgot Password" recovery flow immediately — don't wait
Once back in, turn on 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) right away
Check your account's recovery email/phone for anything you didn't add — remove it.
6. Pop-ups + changed browser settings
Reset your browser to default settings (Settings → Reset)
Clear cache and remove any extensions you don't recognize
Never tap the pop-up itself — always close via the app switcher, not the X on the ad.
7. Unknown number linked to Google/Play Store account.
Go to Google Account → Security → "Ways we can verify it's you"
Remove any recovery phone number or email you don't recognize
Add your own verified number, then immediately change your password + enable 2FA.
