REF: MISS SALAMATU NUHU AGED 15 YEARS VICTIM OF R**E AND CRIMINAL PROSECUTION BY ONE MAL TAJUDDEN KABIR:

With reference to our discussion dated 3rd June, 2016 at about 12 noon to 1:22pm. We write to formally request for your intervention in matters of this nature so as to aid the child-victim of horrific life experience, and at the same time purge the society of criminal elements.

Our preliminary inquiries into the matter with others NGO’S revealed the following fact: - that in or around the month of June / July 2015 the victim (Now a baby-mother of a fifty six day old baby boy) was severally approached by her teach one Mal. Tajudden kabir was a teach with a private Islamic oriented school by name Ammar Bn Yassir Hilltop science academic Kandahar area Bauchi of which she was an SSS 1 student.

Mal. Tajudden kabir taught the victim mathematic in that school. Whenever the victim wrote mathematics test or examination in the school, the said teacher was always withholding her script, and would ask her to see him in his room located in the teacher’s family house not far from the school. He had always insisted that she must visit him or else would get no marks for her test or examination.

She had to visit him on several occasion, on one such occasion he told the victim that if she would not allow him to have s*x with her would never give her scores and subsequent promotion to SSS 2 would be frustrated by him.

The victim eventually yielded to the teacher’s antics and twice the teacher made love to her and further warned her “if ever she opens up on this secret of love made to her to anyone he will finish her”.

The other time the teacher insisted of making love to her in his room, she refused and told him that she had missed her period and he blatantly told her that she was too young to conceive any pregnancy.

The victim’s foster parents only got to discover that she was pregnant when she was already seven months old.

The victim eventually delivered of a baby boy, named Mohammad kabir junior, on 11th April, 2016.

The victim is currently facing a criminal charge initiated by the said teacher Mal. Tajudden Kabir through his lawyer, before Kobi Shariah Court 1 for Defamation of Character (see attachment SN1). She was sent to jail, in Bauchi Central Prison and this office got her bail at about 5pm on Friday 27th may, 2016.

The victim will appear before the court on Friday 10th June, 2016 for trail without a defending council.

The victim’s father is a man of little means and as such could no more afford to care for the baby-mother and young baby. The victim and her baby now reside with a relation in deplorable condition in Guru Village near Bauchi metropolis.
