Meet David Aliyu, a student at Federal Government Academy, Center for the Gifted and Talented, Suleja, and the winner of D-Gifted Minds Mathematics Challenge, Season 4, 2022.

David is one of Nigeria's bright students who competed for the title of best student in Mathematics against over 200 students from 20 secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. He won the competition and was awarded a scholarship to pay the cost of his SSCE 2021/2022 academic session by DGMMC.

D-Gifted Minds Mathematics Challenge (DGMMC) is a yearly Mathematics quiz competition for SS2 students in Nigerian high schools (public/government only) between the ages of 14 and 17, with a focus on the most disadvantaged students. You will agree with us that our educational standard in Nigeria is at an all-time low, and the rate of poverty is increasing at an exponential rate, resulting in a large number of out-of-school children in the society; thus, the significance of this competition, which is aimed at providing financial assistance to bright students from low-income families.

This is an introduction to a simple but highly sophisticated tool for teaching and researching - GeoGebra.
