The maxim of go to school get good grades and get a good job is obsolete. This project is the initiative of JOB CREATION & SELF-EMPLOYMENT INITIAT

it's now go to school get good grades+ additional skills and polish your dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. The National Job creation campus summit is the change agent for transforming the minds of the Nigerian undergraduates.in reality, the world is faced with mass unemployment of which Nigeria is not isolated. The National Job creation campus summit is therefore informed by the need to complime

The continuous churning out of graduates from our tertiary institutions and not able to provide jobs brings to the fore the issue of skills.
Life is all about potentials,if you can vision it and mission it, you can achieve it

THE HIDDEN POISONS IN NON–FOOD-GRADE GRINDING MACHINES

Why Nigeria Must Wake Up Now

The problem with locally fabricated food grinders is not just “metal contamination.”
It is specific types of toxic heavy metals that slowly leak into food during grinding, especially when these machines are made with iron, mild steel, unknown alloys, or non-food-grade stainless steel.

When these metals rub, heat up, and wear out, they release metal particles, dust, and oxides into whatever food they grind.

Below are the actual toxic substances that can contaminate food:

1. HEAVY METALS COMMONLY FOUND IN NON–FOOD-GRADE METALS

① Iron Particles (Excessive Iron Oxides)

Comes from rusting or friction in mild steel grinders.

Toxic effect: Iron overload (hemochromatosis-like symptoms).

Damage: Liver, pancreas, heart.

Symptoms: Chronic fatigue, abdominal pain, diabetes-like symptoms, heart problems.

② Lead (Pb)

Often present in low-quality alloys used by local fabricators.

Lead is one of the most dangerous neurotoxins on earth.

Damage:

Brain and nerves (especially in children)

Kidneys

Reproductive system

Symptoms: Headaches, memory loss, infertility, behavioural changes.

③ Chromium (Hexavalent Chromium, if present)

Found in poor-grade stainless steel that breaks down under heat.

Damage:

Kidney failure

Liver damage

Increased cancer risk

Symptoms: Skin irritation, ulcers, breathing issues.

④ Nickel (Ni)

A common component of low-grade stainless steel (SS 201, 202).

Damage:

Allergies

Lung and nasal cancers (long-term exposure)

Kidney stress

Symptoms: Rashes, breathing problems, chronic inflammation.

⑤ Manganese (Mn) Dust

Harmless in food in tiny amounts, but toxic when inhaled or swallowed over time.

Damage: Brain and nervous system.

Symptoms: Tremors, motor problems similar to Parkinson’s disease.

⑥ Aluminum

Found in aluminum-based local grinders.

Damage:

Brain (linked to cognitive decline)

Bones

Symptoms: Memory issues, bone pain, confusion.

2. HOW THESE METALS CAUSE SLOW POISONING

Heavy metal poisoning is not immediate. It happens through:

**✓ Daily micro-doses

✓ Accumulation in organs
✓ Long-term organ damage**

Heavy metals bioaccumulate — meaning the body cannot flush them out easily.
Instead, they slowly settle in:

Liver

Kidneys

Brain

Bone marrow

Heart

Over months and years, this leads to:

Chronic fatigue

Hypertension

Kidney disease

Liver disease

Infertility

Immune suppression

Neurological disorders

Learning disabilities in children

Some cancers

This is why it looks like “unknown sickness,” “mysterious illness,” or “constant hospital visits.”

3. HOW TO RECOGNIZE FOOD-GRADE METALS

Not every shiny metal is safe.
Only 3 types are globally approved for food processing:

✔ 304 Stainless Steel (The Gold Standard)

Non-magnetic or slightly magnetic.

High corrosion resistance.

Does NOT rust under normal conditions.

Contains safe levels of chromium and nickel.

Common uses:

Blenders, professional grinders, restaurant equipment.

✔ 316 Stainless Steel (Marine/Food Grade+)

Even more corrosion-resistant.

Used in high-end food factories.

✔ 430 Stainless Steel (For external parts only)

Used for casing or body parts, NOT for grinding surfaces.

4. HOW TO IDENTIFY NON-FOOD-GRADE/STREET-FABRICATED METALS

❌ If it rusts — it is NOT food grade

❌ If it sparks heavily when cut — it is mild steel

❌ If magnets stick strongly — most likely low-grade stainless

❌ If it changes colour after washing — poor alloy

❌ If the grinder burrs look dull, blackish, or flaky — metal is rubbing into food

Most local grinders in Nigerian markets fail these tests.

5. HOW TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY

A. Fabricators must be regulated

NAFDAC and SON MUST enforce:

Approved food-grade materials

Certification of food-processing equipment

Regular inspection of grinding shops

B. Consumers must demand safer options

Use home blenders where possible

Avoid taking beans, pepper, or pap to street grinders

Use stone-mill grinders where available

Encourage community cooperatives to buy one shared food-grade grinder

C. Government intervention

Ban the production of mild-steel food grinders

Subsidize food-grade stainless steel equipment

Train fabricators on food-safe engineering

D. Long-term detox prevention

(Not medical treatment—just general evidence-based lifestyle support)

Drink clean water

Eat high-fiber foods

Reduce processed food

Avoid aluminum pots

Regular medical checkups

Blood tests for heavy metals if symptoms appear

6. WHY THIS IS A NATIONAL EMERGENCY

Because this is not “theory.”
It is slow, silent poisoning affecting:

Millions of families

Restaurants

Buka kitchens

Street food vendors

School feeding programs

Hospitals

Churches

Government canteens

When the daily food supply of a nation gets contaminated, the result is a public health catastrophe disguised as:

“High BP everywhere”

“Kidney failure everywhere”

“Cancer rising everywhere”

“People dying young for no reason”

This is not small.
This is national-scale biological damage.

If anything meaningful is to come out of this campaign, Aluminum smelting plants and all aluminum pots and plate/spoons producer company must be shut down.
