WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS
We will engage our students occasionally in creative workshops and seminars which will help improve their originality and ingenuity. Our participants will meet like-minded and inspiring individuals and make lifelong friends. Finding like-minded individuals to explore the creative process gives participants a support system that goes on long after the workshop ends. We will put creative art to work, helping young people develop the personal and professional skills to meaningfully shape their futures for the better. This is extremely important because we live in a culture that doesn’t encourage adults to be creative unless it looks like they are going to make money at it. Having people in our lives who don’t believe in that concept of creative worth can help us take our imaginative, inventive selves more seriously. Without imagination we would not have any great scientists, thinkers, or artists. They will be guided through creative writings, chronicles, mapping, photography, storytelling, collage, free-form drawing, mindfulness, and guided visualizations by recognized and established individuals in the field. These workshops will allow them kick-start their creativity or learn a specialized skill in a convenient, shorter format. They will be taught by professionals, and will be kept small to ensure that individual attention can be given to everyone.
