A sneak peek into our free 7 days Intensive reading class.

We reviewed the letter sounds, consonant blends, digraphs, double consonants and tricks to reading long words.

It was a highly impactful 7 days. Our readers were stunned to know that they could read just any word simply like blending C-A-T.

They also learnt to read and hold a sentence which helps with reading paragraphs.

✨ Free 7-Day Intensive Reading Class with Mrs. Dee for Children with Reading Difficulties ✨
The Free 7-Day Intensive Reading Class with Mrs. Dee is a specially designed intervention program for children who experience challenges with reading. This structured, child-centered class provides targeted support to help learners develop essential reading skills in a fun, engaging, and confidence-building environment.
Through guided practice, phonics reinforcement, decoding strategies, vocabulary development, fluency drills, and comprehension exercises, children will experience significant improvement in their reading ability within a short period.

🎯 Purpose of the Programme
This programme is designed to:
1. Identify each child’s reading level and pinpoint specific areas of difficulty.
2. Strengthen foundational reading skills, including phonics, letter-sound knowledge, blending, and word recognition.
3. Improve reading fluency through guided and repeated reading exercises.
4. Build comprehension skills so children can understand, retell, and respond to stories.
5. Boost confidence and motivation, helping learners enjoy reading and reduce reading anxiety.
6. Provide parents with feedback and personalised recommendations for continued support at home.

👧🏽🧒🏾 Who Can Join?
Children aged 3 years to 10 years who:
• Struggle with decoding or blending
• Read below their class level
• Have difficulty understanding what they read
• Need structured support and motivation to improve

📅 Date: Thursday 4th December – Wednesday 10th December 2025
⏰ Time: Weekdays: 10am – 1pm
Saturday and Sunday: 2pm – 5pm
📍 Venue: No. 25 Ouagadougou Street, Wuse Zone 2 Abuja.

🎗️ to Cancer Awareness Day at Hillfort School! 🎗️

What an incredible and enlightening day it was! Our Cancer Awareness Day, which was held on 4th February 2025, was filled with engaging hands-on activities, exciting word searches, and an eye-opening playlet that helped our students understand cancer in a simple and relatable way.

Through interactive sessions, we demystified cancer, explored ways to prevent it, discussed risk factors, and learned how to support and care for cancer warriors. It was truly a great learning experience, and we all had an amazing time while raising awareness for this important cause.

At Hillfort School, we believe in not just educating the mind but also nurturing empathy, awareness, and a sense of responsibility toward our community. 💜💪
