WHAT ARE BRITARCH SCHOOLS? Britarch Schools are a conglomerate of the first three tiers of educational institutions – the Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, which the Founder found expedient to bring together for an all round development of any child admitted into the school. as formerly a Lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Senior Lecturer at the Abia State University, Uturu. At present, she just concluded her second term as a Commissioner for Education in Abia State. Her appointment as a Commissioner, no doubt, was as a result of her capabilities and the landmark achievements of her School. The Secondary School Section came on stream in 2001 to give her pupils and children from other schools quality and choice secondary education and also to provide several employment opportunities for the teeming population of unemployed graduates in the country. All her secondary school teachers are Degree holders, most of whom have educational qualifications and some are also 2nd degree holders. Teachers who are lucky to work in Britarch Schools have the rare opportunity of receiving weekly seminars every Friday which equip them for their work for the following week or weeks. These teachers are also trained on the use of audio – visual electronic devices such as EDU. COMPUTER or EDU. COMP. in short and smart boards. These aid in giving children an amazing learning experience. Britarch Schools Abuja is located just off the Airport road. It's location is strategic, only about 15-20mins from the Airport, just off Voice of Nigeria junction. Our sister school - Britarch Schools, Amuzukwu, Umuahia is conspicuously located in the heart of Abia State Capital, along Asaba Street in Amuzukwu Layout, Umuahia. The plethora of storeyed buildings in the school compound marks it out among all other compounds in the vicinity. WHAT DO BRITARCH SCHOOLS DO? From the preceding preamble, it is quite certain that Britarch Schools offer a rich variety of academic activities and co-curricular activities, five days a week and even at week – ends. This is to ensure that the children – boys and girls, through the help of their highly qualified proprietress and teachers, achieve brilliant academic successes through hard work. The performance of the pupils and students in all the external examinations taken so far bear testimony to these facts. At the Primary school level, all the pupils who sat for the State Schools Admissions Examinations always qualified for the State Model Schools if they wished to go there. In the First School Leaving Certificate Examinations, now known as the Primary School Leaving Assessment Tests, majority of the pupils pass at the Distinction or Credit levels. At the Junior Secondary School, students’ performances are to say the least excellent. In 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 till date, our best students had Alphas or Distinctions in all the 13 subjects offered. The achievements of our Senior Secondary School Students in both academics and co-curricular activities since our first set of students sat for the Senior School Certificate Examinations in 2007, have given the School its popular names of a home for the best in academics and the award – winning school in co-curricular competitions. Some competitions we partake in yearly include the NNPC Sponsored Science Quiz Competition, the National Festival of Schools Science and Quiz Competition, PTDF Science Quiz, National Young Consumers Contests, and Cowbell Mathematics Competition. In the NNPC Sponsored Science Quiz Competition, three Britarch Students who represented Abia State and came first, were given Scholarships to pursue their tertiary education by the NNPC. The list of Britarch’s laurels is endless in spite of its short period of existence. The news of the good performances of our students who are now in universities in Nigeria and overseas in academics also gives us immeasurable joy. The As and Bs which outnumber the Cs in each year’s SSCE and JSCE results are evidence of the school’s conducive educational environment. The state-of-the-art computer, science and technology laboratories are some of the facilities which enhance teaching and learning in the schools.

On Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, some Young Engineers of Britarch Schools Abuja embarked on a momentous journey to the prestigious Energy Summit Conference, held at the esteemed International Conference Center Abuja (ICC). This exceptional institution was one of the three select schools in Nigeria invited to participate in the Nigeria International Energy Summit (N.I.E.S 2026), a testament to their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and moral rectitude.
