*European Parliament Schuman Traineeships 2026 (Stipend+Travel)*

The applications are now open for the European Parliament Schuman Traineeships 2026. Candidates from around the world, including European & Non-European nationals, are eligible to apply.

The Traineeship is for 5 months. Each year, the European Parliament selects around 1000 Schuman trainees. The Schuman traineeships are paid and can be undertaken at one of the European Parliament’s official places of work – Brussels, Luxembourg, and Strasbourg – or in its Liaison Offices in the Member States.

There is no application fee. More details are below.

*Traineeship Period*
The Traineeship will take place from 1 October to 28/29 February.

*What are the Schuman Traineeships?*
The Schuman Traineeships are officially paid trainee programs offered by the European Parliament to help young graduates gain practical experience in European institutions.

The European Parliament offers traineeships in areas such as law, communication, finance, multilingualism, administration, IT, politics, and public policy.

*Financial Benefits*
Selected trainees receive:
1. Monthly stipend of €1889 (euros)
2. Travel allowance of 300 euros.
3. Professional work experience
4. Access to the EU institutional environment

*Number of Traineeships*
1000/year.

*Traineeship Fields*
You can choose from around 500 traineeship offers per campaign, in the following fields:

Communication
Law
Multilingualism
International Relations
Administration
Infrastructure and Logistics
EU Internal Policies
Information Technology (IT)
Human Resources (HR)
And many others

*Eligibility Criteria*
1. Applicants generally must:
2. Be at least 18 years old
3. Hold a university degree
4. Have strong knowledge of one EU language
5. Have good knowledge of another language
6. Have not previously worked for an EU institution for more than two months
7. Meet the traineeship requirements of the selected position
8. Some traineeships may also accept applicants from non-EU countries.
