Let kids realise that 4x3 is the same as 3x4.
Lets teach Split Strategy for Multiplication.

12x5=?
Split 12 into 10 and 2 and multiply each by 5. Then add the outcomes together.

10x5=50
2x5=10
50+10=60

Therefore, 12x5=60.

Power means exponent, i.e. number of time a number multiplies itself.

2^4 means 2 raised to the POWER of 4.

2^4=16 not 8.

2^4=2x2x2x2=16

Not 8 (2x4) as many students think.

Hint: indices.

Maths Is Simple if you understand maths language.

2^3=8 not 6.

Why? 2^3 reads 2 raised to power 3.
Therefore, 2^3= 2x2x2=8.
