For a child's learning to be well supported, the lessons are only part of the experience. Clear communication, good structure, and keeping parents informed matter too.

We are grateful to Ms Akinshe for taking the time to share their experience with LearnBridge Africa and especially for trusting us enough to recommend our services to other families.

We appreciate the feedback, and we will keep working to make the learning experience as structured, supportive, and seamless as possible.

Thank you for trusting LearnBridge Africa.

A new week doesn't have to be about doing everything.

Sometimes, it is about giving attention to what matters, making room for the people and things we value, and taking each day as it comes.

For our students, parents, teachers and families, we hope this week brings meaningful moments, steady progress and plenty of reasons to smile.

Happy new week from LearnBridge Africa.

It's the end of another week of learning, growing, and showing up.

No matter how the week went, you made progress - and that counts.

What is one thing you learned this week? Tell us in the comments!

Research shows that when we remember an experience, our brains reconstruct it, and that process can sometimes be influenced by new information, previous knowledge, context and suggestion.

This can sometimes lead to false memories.

When it comes to learning where students retrieve, practise and revisit information, they get repeated opportunities to strengthen what they have learned and check whether they can actually recall and apply it.

Interestingly, research has also found that while retrieval can improve long-term retention, it can under some conditions increase false memories too.

So the next time something feels familiar, ask yourself:
Do I actually remember this, or does it simply feel familiar?

The brain is remarkable. But it is not a perfect recording device.

One of the most valuable parts of working with families is hearing what parents notice outside the classes.
Their observations help us understand what is improving and where we can continue to support the child.

We are grateful to Humaira's mum, for taking the time to share her experience with us.

We are happy to see Humaira making progress, and we look forward to supporting her as she continues to grow.

Every step forward counts.

A new school year can feel like a clean slate, but children don't always start from the same place.

Sometimes the challenge is not that a child is not trying. They may simply be carrying forward a concept they never fully understood, while the new term keeps moving.

This is why early observation matters. Before assuming a child is struggling with the new work, it can be worth asking: what part of their old school work might still be getting in the way?

The earlier a gap is identified, the easier it can be to address before it becomes a bigger barrier to learning.

If you are noticing changes in your child's confidence, homework habits or classroom performance this term, LearnBridge Africa can help you understand where the difficulty may be coming from.

Blocks may look like simple toys, but when children build, stack, balance and rearrange them, they are exploring ideas about shapes, patterns, space, symmetry, measurement and geometry.

Research has found meaningful links between block play and children's spatial and mathematical skills. In one recent study, preschoolers who participated in block-play activities showed gains in geometry skills and behavioural self-regulation.

Another recent study found that the complexity of children's block structures was related to their informal and formal spatial skills.

So when a child is building a tower, figuring out why it keeps falling, or creating a new structure, they may be learning more than it appears.

Sometimes, learning doesn't look like studying.

What can your child build with blocks today?

Think your child may need a little more academic support?

At LearnBridge Africa, we help parents move beyond simply noticing that a child is struggling to understanding where the difficulty lies and how best to support it.

Learning gaps are easier to address when they are identified early.
