🗣Tinubu Introduces CNG Fuel at N230 per Litre and Launches Conversion Kits Initiative
President Bola Tinubu has introduced Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) at N230 per litre, offering a cheaper and cleaner alternative to petrol, currently over N900 per litre.
Under the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGi), Tinubu ordered 1 million free CNG conversion kits for commercial vehicles, to be distributed over the next 18 months. Immediate distribution of 10,000 free kits will start this week through transport associations like NURTW, Uber, and KSTA. This move aims to reduce fuel costs and promote sustainable energy, with the goal of distributing all kits by the end of 2025.
