The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education, Dr. Mrs. Angela Ajala, heartily congratulates Segun Aina on his appointment as the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
Dr. Ajala describes the appointment as a call to strategic national service at a defining moment in Nigeria’s education reform journey.
According to her, JAMB remains one of the most critical gateways into tertiary education in Nigeria, and its leadership must continue to advance access, credibility, transparency, fairness, innovation, and public trust.
She notes that the relationship between NCCE and JAMB is especially important as Nigeria works to reposition te...

Happy Workers' Day to every Nigerian who shows up — quietly, faithfully, and with everything they have.
This one is personal for me.
In my first month as Executive Secretary of the NCCE, I have had the privilege of welcoming remarkable people through my doors — leaders, educators, advocates, and public servants — each of them workers in the truest sense of the word. People who have given years, sometimes decades, to the business of building this country's future through education.
Today, as Nigeria honours the dignity of labour, I am reflecting on every hand extended in partnership, every conversation that sharpened our thinking, and every visit that reminded me that this work is never done alone.
To every teacher in a classroom today. To every college administrator holding an institution together. To every health worker in a college medical centre. To every civil servant keeping the system running from behind the scenes — your work matters. You matter.
At the NCCE, we are here to serve the people who serve Nigeria's next generation. That is a responsibility we do not take lightly.
Here's to the workers. Here's to us all. 💪🏾🇳🇬

As we celebrate this sacred Easter season from Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday, I extend warm greetings to our staff, Provosts, partners, and stakeholders of the Commission.
Easter reminds us that sacrifice precedes renewal and hope endures. Its core values of service, compassion, perseverance, and faith are the very foundations of great teachers and institutions.
May this season bring rest, joy, and renewed purpose to all who labour in education.
On behalf of the National Commission for Colleges of Education, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and meaningful Easter.
