*GOOD DAY*

BATCH A STREAM 2 CONGRATS on a successful camping

*DOCUMENTATION PROCESS AFTER ORIENTATION CAMP FOR A2*

*Documentation for those that redeployed is different from those that didn't redeploy. Below is a guide.*

A) *Those that didn't apply for relocation:*

After parade, you will be given your respective PPA letters by your platoon officers

Take your PPA letter to your PPA for acceptance or rejection, if they accept you let them give you acceptance letter, let them know you have to go back home and pack and they should give you 2 weeks break. If they reject you, no problem, tell them to sign on it and give you a rejection letter, take it to the LGA to see your LGI

Take the acceptance or Rejection signed part of your PPA letter to the NYSC office at your LGA secretariat ( most times the require the full posting letter)

Submit it to the LGI and submit other submittable, then apply for 2 weeks permission to travel and pack your stuffs.

*B: For those that relocated to another state:*

After parade, check your name where they are sharing PPA letter, if your name is not there, good to go✅ if your name is there it doesn’t mean that your relocation failed.

NYSC works with time. Date of PPA posting if done ealier before relocation was approved, you will still get a posting letter.

Wait till relocation becomes visible on your dashboard then you can now conclude.

Check your dashboard, Print your relocation letters from your dashboard after payment to NYSC.

Go to *Nysc State secretariat* in that new state. (You have 21 days from the day your relocation is approved)

Submit your redeployment letter with other documents, you will get new state code and wait for your PPA letter on your dashboard. This can take time depending on your state.

Once posted, print and take your PPA posting letter to your PPA for acceptance

Take the acceptance letter to the NYSC office at the LGA secretariat and submit it

Submit all submittable.

NB: if you have a PPA of choice you can get a request letter from them and submit together with your relocation so NYSC will post u there (some states don’t honor request letter though. Eg:Ogun state and Oyo state )

You are good to go✅

*Safe journey all wishing you a wonderful service year ahead.*

⁉️ *BATCH A STREAM 2 WHAT'S NEXT AFTER NYSC CAMP? What you must do after camp*

DM FOR YOUR CHANGE OF PPA IF POSTED TO WHERE YOU DONT LIKE

After NYSC orientation camp on Tuesday what next? This is a question many Corps members are begging for answers. In this post, I will show you 3 things you should do after NYSC orientation camp.

After NYSC orientation camp, next is to collect your posting letter from your platoon officer. Your posting letter will tell you where you have been posted to carry out the National assignment.

After NYSC orientation camp, you will see some people that will travel back homes, some to their places of primary assignment and some others will just be stranded. *DO NOT travel after NYSC camp unless you have been relocated to other state, I will talk about relocated corpers later.*

*After NYSC camp what next?*
Here is what next after NYSC Orientation Camp;

*1. Report to your PPA*
The first thing to do after NYSC camp is to go to your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). But if you get relocated while in camp, then go to the NYSC State Secretariat in the new state you were relocated for documentations.

However, if you don’t meet up to report in your PPA, you can lodge in Corpers’ lodge or any religious body corpers Lodge, and report the following day in the morning.

Please, make sure you collect your posting letter from your camp platoon officer before leaving NYSC camp because you need to report to your PPA with your posting letter.

Note: When you take your posting letter to your PPA, they will either accept or reject you. If they reject or accept you, they will write it on the detachable part of the letter.

So, whether they accept or reject you, you should take the document the employer will give you to your Local Govt Inspector (LGI).

Tips: *Make one photocopy of your posting letter before taking it to your PPA.*

Example; If your PPA is a secondary school, the principal of the school will stamp the detachable part of your posting letter, and then write either “Accepted” or “Rejected”.

Whether you are accepted or rejected, remember to take the detachable form to your LGI’s office for documentation.

*2. Report to your LGI Office*
This is actually the second step to take. After reporting to your PPA, you will be given a letter that shows whether you are accepted or rejected.

You are to submit the letter to the NYSC Zonal Office or the office of LGI depending on the distance between the Zonal office and the LGI office.

Note: If you are rejected in your PPA, DO NOT proceed to the step 3 until you get another PPA. In most cases your LGI or Zonal Inspector will repost you to another PPA or you find PPA for yourself.

*3. Enjoy your 2-3 week leave*
After you have completed steps 1 and 2, the next is to enjoy your 2-3week leave. You can use your leave opportunity to travel home and meet your people.

Note: Due to delay in getting your ppa etc, Your 3 week leave might end up becoming 2 week leave. Mine was even 1 week leave

But before you travel, you need to write and submit a leave application letter to the NYSC state Coordinator through your LGI.

Thanks 🙏

Happy new week

*GOOD DAY and HAPPY WEEKEND*

HOW IS THE CARNIVAL GOING.

Make sure you enjoyed yourself , it’s once in a life time experience.

I have given you guys benefit of serving in the urban areas let’s also get to know the benefit of serving in rural communities.

*BENEFITS OF SERVING IN THE RURAL AREAS.*

A lot of prospective corp members detest the idea of serving in villages so they do everything in their power to serve in cities like Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt and capitals of various states etc.

I know you have considered this thought yourself and might even be making plans for it. But do you know that there are some advantages attached to serving in the rural areas which in some cases might even outweigh benefits enjoyed in the urban areas? Let us go through them briefly.

*Low Cost of Living*

Cost of living is relatively cheap for corps members serving in the rural areas compared to their counterparts in the cities. Food and other basic comodities are cheap; cost of transportation is low plus there are free accomodations.

Corps members in this category can easily save their monthly stipends and have something to fall back on after their service year.

*High Regards*:
Corps members are held in high regards in the rural areas because a lot of the folks there see graduates as people who have accomplished something in life.

This is erroneous belief of course but the villagers nonetheless take the welfare of corpers seriously and shower them with gifts occasionally (During my service year in kogi corpers posted to rural communities were welcomed with some kegs of palm wine and bush meat. You can't find this happening in the urban areas because almost every family has produced enough graduates or aspiring graduates.

*Serenity and Peace of Mind:*

Rural areas are peaceful and quiet. Major sources of noise which abounds in cities are not common in the rural areas. This is a great benefit to many corps members who would like to live a pre-meditated life as they ponder on important issues of life that can impact their future.

*Exemption from CDS Meetings:*

Corps members serving in villages don't attend the compulsory weekly CDS which means they have one work-free day every week to do something for themselves. If you are the lazy type, you could use the time to sleep at home or chase after ladies/guys ( I never said this).

*Viable Business Opportunities:*

The food items sold in the cities are grown in the villages. Household consumables like pure honey, red oil, ogbono seed and the likes are high selling items that can be purchased at cheaper rates in the rural areas. This is a viable business opportunity for corps members who are business oriented. The reason why you find Igbos scattered across the Nigerian villages is because they identify profitable business opportunities ahead of any tribe.

NB: like the saying goes *Another man meat is another man poison*

Am not suggesting you serve in a rural community but I promise to give u all the updates necessary for a successful camp and wonderful service year.

Always know that there is no best location for service. Be it rural or urban, you will still have a wonderful service year.

Someone will still serve in rural communities.

Keep inviting others as we round up with camp

*GOOD DAY*

Batch A steam 2 hope you are having fun and enjoying camp now? After this week everything is over.

Note: People meet connection in camp and many meets their missing ribs in camp as well.

If you are crushing on someone open up else u might regret it till the end.

Today let me talk about PPA as we round up with camp activities.

Remember that Saturday is carnival, dress anyway u think u will be comfortable with. It’s ur day so enjoy it. Any attire you wish to wear pls do. It’s once in a life time else you will have your regrets like me for not doing some of the things I wanted.

*BENEFITS OF SERVING IN THE URBAN AREAS*

Let's discuss about the benefits of serving in urban areas like Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, and capitals of states etc.

It is the dream of many corps members to be posted to urban areas but this is not always possible for everyone. The reason is not far-fetched though as everyone wants to enjoy the perks and benefits attached to serving in the city. Let us take a brief look at some of these benefits:

*Better Job Opportunities*

There is an abundance of factories and industries in urban areas. This translates to more job opportunities which rub off on corps members as well.

In places like Lagos and Abuja, corps members can access job listings and good PPA opportunities than they would in rural areas.

*Social Amenities*

Nothing beats comfort in life which is what the urban centers offer. The availability of modern houses with running water, good roads, electricity, etc., is what makes living in the city appealing to many. Getting posted to urban areas means corps members enjoy these benefits too.

*Networking Opportunity*
There are influential people in urban areas who can help in the advancement of one’s career. Corps members serving in ministries and parastatals may be lucky to make the acquaintance of the top shots in the society which might prove useful in job search areas after the service year.

*Access to Information*

Corps members serving in rural areas have little or no access to information. We are in a digital world where access to information is vital to personal development. Serving in urban areas gives corps members access to stable internet connection which can be translated to good use. There are also money-making opportunities like freelancing that can only be accessed with a good internet connection.

Some people climb tree to make call in some rural communities, when dem no be monkey 🐒 🤣

*Skill Acquisition*
Some skills can be learned during the service year that is not available in rural areas. Examples include catering, web development, computer programming, and a whole lot of others. PCMs seeking to learn some skills are better off in areas where they can find certified tutors, or at least, the means to do so.

Realistically speaking, there is nothing like 'the best place to serve' because every place has its advantage and disadvantage.

You just have to make the best out of wherever you find yourself.

Wishing you guys a wonderful camping city or village u will enjoy your service.

Batch C stream 2 2024 POP is around.

Batch A2 2026, you re next start getting ready.

Keep inviting others 👇🙏
