Duin International Academy

Arabic is the language of the Qur'an and our beloved Prophet. And to celebrate it, DUIN International Academy celebrated her first Arabian Day, today 20th November, 2024.

It was an amazing and colourful event that showcased the beauty of the Arabian culture; with the pupils, students, teachers and management dressed up to share the joy and traditions of the people.

Today, we celebrate our nation's freedom and resilience. May Allah continue to unite us and make our future bright.

Allah says in His Holy Book, Quran 53, V:39
وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ
And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for.

Allah also says in Quran 13, V:11 (from which happens to be our motto)
..إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَابِأَنفُسِهِمْ...
..surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition...

The above verses shows that striving to work hard is a very important part of the religion. And that Allah detest laziness and loves for His servants to be hardworking.

Thus, on this note, we would like to wish every worker/labourer out there a happy international workers/labour day. May Allah continue to bless our good hard work. May our hard work be beneficial for us in both lives. Ameen.

Happy International Women's Day!

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women worldwide. As well as the elevated status of women in Islam, honored as mothers, scholars, leaders, and pillars of society.

Let's continue to recognize and cherish the invaluable contributions of women in shaping our world with grace, wisdom, and resilience.

This verse from the Qur'an highlights the elevation that believers attain through their faith and knowledge.

It can thus be seen that education is a sacred path to enlightenment and knowledge is the key to success in this life and the next. Hence, let us reflect upon the importance of knowledge in our lives.

We would also be delighted if you could share your favorite Qur'anic verse related to knowledge.

As the world celebrates International Thank You Day, let's reflect on the valuable lessons of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith, emphasizing the significance of gratitude in our lives.

Allah says in Q:14, v:7
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
(And when your Lord made it known: If you are grateful, I would certainly give to you more, and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is truly severe.)

With the above statement of Allah (SWT) we can affirm that gratitude is a virtue that brings blessings.

Today, we extend sincere gratitude to our school community, acknowledging the school management for their guidance -your vision steers our ship, the dedicated teachers for their wisdom -you illuminate the path of knowledge, the supportive parents -your trust fuels our journey and the eager pupils and students -you are the heartbeat of our vibrant community.

We can't forget to thank Allah a'aza wa jal, for his infinite mercy and blessings throughout our journey.

Alhamdulillah for the growth, the learning, and the shared moments. For with every step, lesson, and challenge, we find gratitude.

Let's continue fostering an environment of gratitude and learning, guided by the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith.
