EXTERNAL COMPETITIONS AND SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT.
Research and Development (R&D) is a mainstay in most modern day mega businesses. This department in most organization focuses on the intrinsic and extrinsic variables that help grow an organisation.
A school like most organization, requires a deliberate strategy to monitor, evaluate and improve its services, contents and products (Learners).
External Competitions is one of the easiest yet effective ways of improving the standard and content of a school. The greatest schools across the globe are not often determined by the size of their building but by the quality of their products.
The series of preparation that heralds participation in an external competition is what ultimately develops a school content, products and personnel in the long run.
The benefits of external Competitions are far reaching, ranging from exposing the learners and pushing them to strive for excellence while affording the Teachers the unique opportunity to compare notes and methodologies.
The greatest schools in Nigeria such as Graceland, The Ambassadors School, Chrisland, Loyola Jesuit, British Spring, Welkin and many others all have one thing in common which is participating in external Competitions. The question is are they in Competitions to win prize money and awards? The answer is a capital NO. They are active in Competitions for reasons I have already outlined. It is therefore logical to conclude that the prizes and awards in external Competitions are not ENDS but means to an END.
Achieving School growth through external Competition is a systematic process requiring in-depth skill, commitments, consistency, discipline, Hard work and patience. You can chat me up for free professional guide and expert opinion.
I will conclude by recommending your School and Learners to participate in The Royal National English Olympiad to hold in the month of November across all States of the Federation. Call/Chat for study materials: 08021339206.
