Under his leadership, the University developed comprehensive policy document on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in university education, and introduced the Non Teaching Staff-to-Academic Staff Conversion programme, addressing under staffing issues. The University received the Pan African Prize for Excellence.

Professor Egwunyenga has done studies on Environmental Parasitology - pollutants in our environment, and how petrochemical pollutants interact with parasites. He believes Parasitology assists oil and gas operations in terms of hydrocarbon pollution monitoring, tracking toxic accumulation, evaluating ecosystem health, ecological recovery tracking, environmental monitoring and bioindication etc. Entomologist data distinguishes between natural background hydrocarbons in the soil and anthropogenic petroleum contamination. Public Health supports oil and gas production by assessing environmental risks, protecting worker safety, and minimizing host community health hazards etc.

She worked with the Petroleum Equalisation Fund Management Board (PEFMB), a Federal Government Agency established to carry-out the following duties: (a) sustain uniform pump prices of white products - premium motor spirit (PMS) or petrol (gasoline), household kerosene (HHK), diesel or automotive gas oil (AGO), etc (b) reimbursing marketing companies - compensating petroleum organizations for any financial losses suffered when transporting and selling products at the Government mandated prices (c) managing and administering bridging payments scheme to complement pipeline distribution to ensure continuous product availability (d) recovering and managing net surplus revenue from companies whose operations yielded higher-than-average margins, pooling these funds to subsidise those operating at a loss. The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 merged the Petroleum Equalisation Fund Management Board (PEFMB)'s responsibilities into the Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). At the PEFMB, she demonstrated proficiency in document management systems (DMS), monitoring and compliance (M&C) process review etc.

Mrs. Grace Awajash Dauda Ph.D currently works with the Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) a Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) agency operating pursuant to the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 with the mandate to regulate, monitor, and enforce standards across Nigeria's petroleum Midstream (transportation, storage, etc), petroleum Downstream (refining, processing, distribution, marketing etc) for sustainable growth, petroleum products supply security, competition promotion etc.

Prof. Iwekumo Ebibofe Agbozu has implemented several environmental consulting services for oil and gas operations, intervention agencies, power generation infrastructure, the manufacturing sector, etc for more than two (2) decades, including the promotion of environmental chemistry, applied spectroscopy, environmental monitoring, waste management, analytical chemistry, environmental pollution, etc. He is the one who conducted a mind-blowing research on the ecological risk and occurrence of microplastics in the Nigerian water system; human exposure risks to endocrine-disrupting phthalates in environmental mediums; heavy metals and toxic industrial effluents in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; oil and gas chemical contamination and ecological hazards etc. Professor Agbozu was the one who evaluated domestic and international environmental frameworks and policies and advocated for a holistic approach that should integrate community practices with sustainable biodiversity conservation. He went further to conduct studies on the bio-accumulation of toxins in agricultural soil and assessed both carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks on human beings, and published research on the physio-chemical characterization of leachates from Municipal Solid Waste Dumpsites and provides essential data on how these dumpsites pollute the environment etc.

Prof. Iwekumo Ebibofe Agbozu is a Fellow of the Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) with specialisation in Environmental Studies and a Member of the College of Fellows. He earned his tertiary education qualifications from some of the finest institutions with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master of Science (M.Sc) and, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degrees to show. He is a Prominent Member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), Fellow, Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON), Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), and Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), Northampton, United Kingdom (UK). At some point, he worked as an International Consultant on Environmental Studies for the Government of Canada and the World Bank Group. ACHIEVEMENT
We wish to celebrate a beautiful damsel, Customs Comptroller Par Excellence, Trade Facilitation Specialist, Operations Management Expert, Distinguished Administrator and, an amiable Fellow, Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) for the more than three (3) decades of excellent service at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), a Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Agency operating under the supervisory oversight of the Federal Ministry of Finance (FMF).

Dr. Patience Komommo Iferi (Mrs) understands the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and has served the organisation in various capacities -
(a) Excise, Free Trade Zone and Industrial Incentives
(b) Administration and Operations
(c) Internal Control, Finance and Payroll Administration
(d) Trade Compliance and Free Trade Agreement etc. She spearheaded the Strategic Research & Policy (SR&P) Directorate and, engineered the Service-Wide Policy(ies) improvement.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) facilitates trade within the Oil and Gas Free Trade Zones, manages Crude Oil and other Petroleum Products import and export activities, ensures regulatory compliance from licensed companies etc. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) helps in combating petroleum products smuggling through anti-smuggling operations such as Operation Whirlwind in collaboration with the Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) etc.

Dr. Patience Komommo Iferi holds the Fellowship of the Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) with specialisation in Strategic Operations Management and a Member of the College of Fellows. She has her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree, Masters Degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree etc. She was at some point the Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Government of Nigeria.
