Our 23rd Annual Graduation & Awards Day was a remarkable celebration of achievement, creativity, and the limitless potential of our learners.

This year, our pupils took center stage with an engaging Ethical Use of AI Talkshow, where they explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used responsibly to enhance learning—not replace it. Their thoughtful discussions reflected our school motto in action: Digital Pioneers Transforming Learning.

The innovation on display was truly inspiring!

💧 Lower Basic amazed us with:
• An Automatic Water Dispenser
• An Automated Trash Bin

🤖 Upper Basic showcased:
• A Delivery Robot
• VRAC (Vehicle Robotic Access Control System)

🚤 JSS impressed everyone with:
• A Water Boat Project
• Their very own SimChat AI application

One of the highlights of the day was the launch of our Smart School Bags, a brilliant innovation developed by some of our graduating Basic 6 students during their research project. Equipped with a secure QR code system, the bags instantly notify parents when their children arrive at or leave school, providing an extra layer of safety and peace of mind. 🎒📲

Our SIMBED Basic 6 students proudly defended their capstone projects, showcasing how they have harnessed digital literacy skills to develop practical solutions to real community challenges as part of the mandatory requirements for the completion of their Primary Education Programme.

From identifying problems to designing innovative digital solutions, our young innovators proved that age is no barrier to creating meaningful impact.

✨ Some of the outstanding projects included:

📲 Smart Track Attendance – A smart attendance management system that enables schools to monitor student attendance both offline and online using QR codes while maintaining accurate attendance logs.

🚌 Bus Beacon – An intelligent school bus tracking solution that gives parents and school administrators real-time visibility of school buses from home to school and back. It also provides a direct communication channel between drivers and parents for improved safety and coordination.

🛡️ Anti-Bullying App – A child-friendly platform that empowers pupils to report bullying anonymously, access educational resources on bullying, and connect with emergency support when needed.

🌱 SIMBED Green Team Channel – A WhatsApp community initiative promoting environmental sustainability by raising awareness about deforestation, encouraging tree planting, and engaging participants through quizzes, polls, infographics, and educational content.

These projects reflect our commitment to preparing learners who are not only digitally competent but also creative problem-solvers, compassionate leaders, and responsible global citizens ready to use technology for positive change.

Young Voices. Global Impact. 🌍

Today, 1 July 2026, Simbed Learners School, Abuja, were part of the UNESCO SDG 4 Youth Consultation Session, where selected students shared their ideas on the future of education.

Their voices will contribute to UNESCO's global report on education beyond 2030 and help shape discussions at the Global Education Meeting 2027.

In celebration of World Environment Day 2026, our pupils stepped beyond the classroom and into action. They participated in a community clean-up exercise around the school environment and surrounding drainages, helping to create a cleaner, healthier space for everyone.

The celebration also featured tree planting activities, reinforcing the importance of preserving nature for future generations. Through an engaging sustainability lecture, our learners gained valuable knowledge about environmental responsibility and practical ways to protect our planet.

We are proud to be raising environmentally conscious leaders who understand that every small action contributes to a greener and more sustainable future.
