Last week, Simbed Learners had the privilege of hosting Engr. Bassey Enyieko from the FCT Fire Service Headquarters who carried out a thorough assessment of our fire defense equipment and led a fun and insightful sensitization session with both staff and students.

The interactive session emphasized practical fire safety measures, vigilance, and the shared responsibility we all have in protecting lives and property.

We remain dedicated to constantly monitoring, upgrading, and improving our fire defense systems and emergency preparedness strategies. Safety is not just a priority—it’s a culture we are building together showing the school’s commitment to RESPECT for life.

Earlier this week, we completed a Digital Literacy Training for Persons with Disabilities, organized by NITDA Nigeria, in Partnership with Inclusive Friends Association where our team delivered hands-on, practical training on:

• Internet safety and responsible online use
• Accessibility features of Android and iOS devices
• Google Workspace tools (Docs, Gmail, Drive & more)
• Creative and productivity tools like Canva
• Introduction to AI tools such as ChatGPT for learning and work
• One-on-one support tailored to different accessibility needs

Our learners didn’t just attend training—they gained confidence, independence, and future-ready digital skills.

Today, we join the world in raising awareness about disabilities—physical, mental, and learning.
This year, we are spotlighting learning disabilities, which affect how a person processes and understands information, but do not reflect intelligence or potential.
